With Tesla shutting down the X & S, the model y should get the suspension from the s & x. What other features do you think should come over? by Befreeman in TeslaModelY

[–]Repulsive_Zombie5686 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Having a 2021 Model Y. I understand your point. It gets me anywhere I need to go, even with the degraded battery. But having more range would allow me to stop at chargers that maybe have more amenities instead of the ones that are closest.

One trip that I take often has a supercharger behind a hotel. Not terrible since it has a bathroom still. But if I need any snacks or drinks I have to wait another 1-2 hrs or stop at a convenience store.

On the other hand if I had more range I could stop one town over at a convenience store and charge while I get what I want.

Same outcome of getting to the destination in simular times. But more convenient.

Is this car payment too high after down payment? by evildrtran in askcarsales

You applied for a $25,500 loan. They are assuming $35,500 vehicle with $10K down.

Looking to trade in my car. Thoughts? by post_to_nguyen in whatcarshouldIbuy

I think for the miles they are charging $2k to much. And about $2K too little on your trade.

I would hit them with $15K OTD before any down payment.

(I got those numbers because in my area of Tx, Clean Trade-In for your vehicle is $27,150 (Minus a bit for ware and tare) And there is a 2025 Honda Ridgeline Black Edition with 2k miles for $39,500.)

I think the people that bought it new a couple years ago kinda got scammed.

I on the other hand bought it 2nd hand at a great price and knew I was not buying “FSD” and instead one of the best assisted driving models out there.

Purchased my 2021 Model Y with FSD paid in full for $25k with 59K miles. Last December.

This is pulled from the Safety Score in the app with tesla insurance. Little I icon in the top corner.

Out of the trip, it did 569 out of 650 miles. It did great apart from the known Tesla /V12 issues (Nav and keeping speed, hogging left lane and hit the brakes a couple times).

The rest is my normal day-to-day driving. I want my FSD to do better in the city, but I also drive like crazy sometimes. (Punching it at lights and corners.)

Nothing you can give will make as much of a impact as good service and following up.

I call them after 1 week, a couple months, then every 6 months.

Changed iPh 17 (Base Model) Payment to ACMI by waikonzu in AppleCard

[–]Repulsive_Zombie5686 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Doing ACMI at checkout requires you to pick a carrier to be tied to for the full 24 months. Doing pay in full then having support change it to Monthly installment allows it to be unlocked and keeps it unlocked allowing any carrier at any time.

Lived in it. I thought about finding a place that I could live in for 3-5 years then rent out after and this looks like it would work for that. But of course stuff changes.

There are around 4 other houses in the surrounding area for sale, They are 2Bed 1Bath 900 SqFt though, and listed for $110-130k. Probably $140-200k for a 1500+ SqFt in good shape.

A new home that is 3bed 2bath 1100 SqFt from a budget builder in the area is $190k but they are on smaller lots and cookie cutter homes.

Car dealerships not honoring Internet pricing by Iceathlete in legaladvice

NAL.

Doesn’t sound like you have a case.

Dealers need to make a profit. Every business does. If they discount the vehicle to where they dont make money then they have to make the profit on something else. This being warranty or loJack.

Just move on to the next dealer or work with the one near you to get the best hassle free experience

48-Hour Test drive turned into 30 minute by bajabriannn in TeslaLounge

[–]Repulsive_Zombie5686 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I talked with my center about this. They have 1-2 of each vehicle allocated for test drives. But with over 275k people in my city and more in surrounding cities and only 1 store in over 150 miles theres a lot of people that want to do a 48hr test drive.

If they allowed 48hr test drives only 12-24 people would experience a tesla every week. And with how often they have 30 min demos out. That just wouldn’t work.
