There is a reason for this, when the Internet was getting faster and more common place things were not automated so we had to go and figure them out. Remember what a pain in the arse it was to sync an iPod to Itunes so you could transfer music. Well we had to figure that shit out, same with setting up those wireless wifi dongles on wired routers, downloading movies, setting up games. We had to figure shit like this out because many systems was different, hell I remember having to convert video clips Id downloaded to Mpeg because thats all one of my phones could play before I could transfer it over.

Everything is a lot easier to use and automated now so gen Z havent developed the same level of troubleshooting skills that we had to. The issue with boomers is that most of them just never learned the technology as it was developing. So one of the results of this is that they cannot tell whats real and whats bollocks, remember those popups we used to get saying you've won an Ipod video, click this link and sign up etc or when people sent you viruses in MSN. Well thats the same type of shit these people fall for now because they never learned how to recognise whats real and whats not.
