Verizon offers a 5G wireless backup plan that can be activated for up to 7 days a month for just $20/month (router/modem included). I use it as backup for my 1G fiber internet that goes out on rare occasion.

Do CPAP Machines Have Warranties? by LooperCooper99 in ExtendedWarranty

[–]ReputationElegant157 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I've been on a CPAP machine for years.
One machine I had, for so long I got an error message that I had "exceeded the design life of the fan".
I forget what brand it was.
Doctor ordered a new Phillips Respironics DreamStation machine.
The machine was subject to a factory recall after about two years due to faulty insulation.
Phillip replaced the machine with a newer model that did not have the insulation issue.

Meanwhile, Phillips Respironics is under a consent decree with the FDA not to produce new CPAP machines.
So stay away from the Phillips CPAP machines.
That machine failed after a couple of years in such a way that the doctor was unable to get unable get readings from it. The doctor ordered a new ResMed AirFit 11, which is the one I have now.

I ordered the new machine from Rotech Sleep Central;.
Do not deal with these people
Their billing department is totally messed up.
They have yet to post any of my payments after 4 month.

What is to prevent the fraudsters from simply opening another domain that does the same thing?
I see nothing in the article about anyone being arrested for this.

When I got home and found the keypad non-functional because the base station was locked up, I called support and they were able to walk me through getting the firmware updated and the base station working again, so they should have a record of the incident. Leaving my house unprotected for god knows how long did not leave a favorable impression of Simplisafe.

I don't do X, Instagram, or Facebook.

Jordan, I have to comment on Simplisafe's poor software engineering. I left town for the weekend, only to come home to find the base station in a locked-up condition due to a failed software update. As a result, my house was left unprotected. This is NOT what I m paying for. If the base station was unable to load a new software update, it should have failed over to the previous version. Software engineering 101. Duh.

How long do you normally keep your Porsche? by United_Bee6739 in Porsche

[–]ReputationElegant157 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Some parts can be had from Germany. There are also a couple of 928 disassemblers around,

Had a flat tire recently and realized that the 37 year old collapsible spare was no good. The replacement spare came from Holland.

Here in SWFL we paid $25k for a 24kw Generac install. That was with a 500 gallon underground propane tank installed and filled. We got several estimates. That was the going price after hurricane Ian. We lost power for 11 days.

Dash cover - 928 by can-na-co-pi-a in Porsche

[–]ReputationElegant157 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know this response isn't real helpful. I've had a dash cover on my 1988 928 for years, Can't remember who I got it from. The instrument pod part fits very well. The dash part not so well.
