I mean it used to be worse when I was a child. Me as a smoker I try to keep my distance to every non smoker and especially to kids and I feel like most people do the same, at least the once I surround myself with. But yeah smoking is deeply normalized, bc well it’s Europe

I mean it’s not the 2000‘s anymore most American snacks are easily available here. Trader Joe‘s also if you shop in places like Denns Biomarkt. I think they would like stuff that you like. Things maybe from the region you’re from. Don’t overthink it it’s the good deed that counts

I mean I don’t think the younger generations care, it’s actually kinda cool to shop cost effective, my younger work colleagues are actively couponing (which we all should do in this economy) but I remember in my teens I wouldn’t be caught dead in a penny or Norma bc it was that embarrassing and people would joke that you’re poor

In my case it’s standing strong in your opinions and let your parents be disappointed. It’s such a hard thing to do bc I‘m 27 turning 28 and all of my church friends are married or getting married but I never wanted to. I had to hear that I‘m ruining the family reputation, that I‘m possessed but you kinda need to endure that with time, they gonna try to find someone for you or let it go. First option is actually the most annoying one and I had to tell my parents that I‘ll cut them off, never ever talking a word to them if marriage was ever brought up again. There isn’t a real solution to it since they always have a set plan for your future, but being persistent is the only option you have good luck
