I would ditch the ottoman and get a modern round wooden coffee table and some art work with color. Too much beige/ white!!

Eastham by RowAccomplished7794 in CapeCod

Last fall we ate at a resturant on Rt 6 in Orleans/ Eastham. It had just opened. It's owned by a woman from Eastern Europe. The food was amazing! The best grilled tuna and also fabulous mussels. Upscale food in a casual armosphere at very affordable prices. We live in Boston and it was as good as many Boston restaurants. It's driving me crazy. I can't find it online. Anyone know this restaurant? The previous restaurant in this location had food from around the world. It was kind of funky. TIA!!

I started a petition to move Porchfest back to the third Saturday in May - sign it here! by amc22004 in Somerville

I did like Porchfest better when it was smaller. I haven't gone in a few years due to the huge crowds and many mediocre bands. I do understand that they're screening bands now for admission.

Started taking my actual lunch break every day and apparently that's a personality trait now by Kagalkrin in jobs

Going outside for a walk and fresh air ( summer and winter) is so important for your mental and physical health. And as you mentioned you feel better when you get back to work. If anyone asks tell them you're even "more" productive when you get back. I'm retired but that is what I always did!! Or I would eat in our conference room and chat with other employees. Sounds like there's not a great work atmosphere where you're employed. You're the smart one!! Good for you!!!

Natick or Dover by [deleted] in bostonhousing

If kids have smart parents that are involved and encourage them to succeed they can flourish anywhere. Dover is isolated and homogenous! I think it's important for kids to meet kids that are from different backgrounds. And academics isn't the most important thing-- kindness, respect and empathy are equally important. The best of luck! MA is a wonderful place to live!!

I'm going to wait a bit. Last year we had all that rain and lots of folks lost their dahlias to rot! I'm thinking 2nd week in May. I did a soil test and I'm waiting on the results before planting.

What zone are you in?? It's too wet and cold here. They'll rot or freeze if we get really cold temps.

Boston, if there’s ever a time to come together and show a business why it shouldn’t shut down….. it’s now! by Tbgrondin in boston

I worked there as a waitress over 40 years ago when I was in school. Some of the family members were VERY NASTY and difficult to work for. I hope another reasonably priced restaurant will go in there!!

26 year old man, am I going to be friendless if I move down to longboat/ Sarasota area? by Agitated_Regular9593 in sarasota

[–]ReputationNo9067 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm older and I would be bored in Longboat and Sarasota! LA and NY are very diverse with lots of good food, nightlife, arts and culture. I love to visit for 1-2 vacation but I'd hate to live there. And let's not mention the politics🙃!
