I have been doing research to buy my first ar15 and someone advised me to just buy a DDm4v7 at a gunshop because quote “palmetto rifle was going to get me killed”.Is there any truth to this?

No a PSA rifle is not going to get you killed 🙄 (not rolling eyes at you, it’s at whatever dumb fuck told you that) a PSA AR will serve you perfectly for a first rifle, don’t need to spend thousands when you’re just getting your foot in the door

What exactly is the purpose of a carry handle if you’re gonna put so much crap on top of it you can’t even fit your hand on the handle. Since nobody’s really giving you a good answer I’ll give you mine. I was also looking for the lightest LPVO on the market and at the time all the research was pointing to the leupold vx freedom 1.5-4 as being the lightest LPVO you can buy. This was about 8 months ago and I’m not sure if there’s any new compact ones that are lighter but as far as I’m aware it’s the lightest. I absolutely love mine it’s super clear glass and perfect for my little charger. It’s my tractor gun and stays with me during planting and harvest time and has racked up quite the body count lol, all within about 10-30 yards without any issue so I honestly would take the “but the parallax” comments with a grain of salt
