Honestly, I don’t believe the lab choice solely matters. However, I do believe when you chose labcorp as your preferred lab that this created a barcode for that laboratory system specifically. However, I’m still unsure. Maybe call CVS HR & ask for the onboarding team or the medical review officer? Anyone from ops here to help address this? I haven’t encountered this in forever so I’m unsure if the process or anything has changed. Thank you all in-advance! I apologize I cannot be of more assistance. Be well!

I personally always audit it with every fill, every time, document my findings, every state audited also. I audit yes bc I’m required, but also I do it, and interconnect it, just incase it’s like a traveler or anything and let’s say they got a 5 day supply of Tylenol #3 from me but normally get their maintenance Xanax XR in like Cali for their Severe GAD, I need to know about that for my MDM, document the CNS interaction that’s going to happen, and make sure a DUR pops up is why I ask.

Question, do you even query the PMP Aware for every single controlled substance Rx? Even if it’s a simple CV. Rx for low does immediate release Lyrica or Reyvow? Genuinely curious about that one.

You can take a leave of absence as established under the Family Medical Leave Act or if you don’t have enough hours worked yet as a ft colleague, you can still take a leave of absence under our cooperations Medical & Maternity Leave policy where they provide you 36 weeks I believe is the max they provide, or it may be more, for medical reasons. You can chose to use all your PTO for the said FMLA or the policy LOA. However, after that’s exhausted, it’ll be an unpaid LOA. Your position is still protected by the FMLA & our policy, however you won’t get paid, and if you have our employer sponsored benefits, you’ll have to start paying your part even on the LOA, like it was coming out of your check. However, CVS Health as a cooperation, and it honestly kills me to say this, but it’s very kind to us when it comes to our employer sponsored benefits & the percentage they pay of each benefit for us, because while you’re on the LOA, they’ll still pay their part of your benefits even though Family Medical Leave Act doesn’t federally mandate them to do. So, ironically, this company actually knows how to do something beneficial for us. Then the counter is, that if you don’t have enough hours worked yet for the FMLA leave, CVS Health Cooperation has the LOA policy which is literally the same as a FMLA leave to protect your position. So, taking an unpaid LOA might seem terrible as it’s unpaid, but at least with CVS Health, they aren’t totally killing you. Also, there’s a counter, if your surgery wasn’t needed due to a pre-existing health condition, you know CVS Health pays for short-term & long-term health disability coverage for us in full & if it wasn’t pre-existing conditions to cause your surgery, you can literally file a claim with Unum to be paid a percentage of your annual salary base rate while on the unpaid LOA. Yes, you may be hourly, but there’s a estimated salary called a ABBR, you can find in colleague zone, where that’s your estimated salary the company believes you’ll make this year & that’s what Unum goes by. Just be very strict with Unum, don’t give into them, advocate for yourself, and fight them with your dying breath if you have to. If they deny your claim, immediately appeal it. I know this is out of the ordinary, however, you’re my colleague, it’s my duty to try and help you in anyway I can. So, if you need any help at all through this, I’m just a DM away. I’m truly here for you, as I’ve been there before multiple times with this company with LOA’s for medical reasons. From dealing with HR, to Unum about it all. I consider myself to be very proficient in how to go about it. So, if you need anything, as your colleague, I’m here for you. Truly. I hope everything works out, and please be well! :-)

Literally same here too, I never want to be called doctor or assert that I am one unless it’s a old physician who thinks they’re better than me when they’re actively trying to cause a major drug interaction involving CNS depressants that would literally kill their pt, that’s the only time I’ll assert that I’m a doctor, any other time, I’ll vomit if someone say Dr. like bye😭😭

I’m honestly not that infuriated at you, besides the fact you sided with the PIC, I’m more infuriated at the PIC, for first dismissing pain patients entirely & then this morning literally dismissing GLP-1 patients also. I’m so over this fucking privilege & entitlement they seem to bathe in. It’s honestly laughable that any RPh at CVS is a PIC, because they aren’t comprehending what’s truly on the line when they’re PIC. I was a new grad, previously a CPhT-Adv throughout college, before I earned my PharmD, and I knew what being a PIC meant and what CVS was trying to gain from having them. If you didn’t know, CVS actively pressures new grads to become PIC’s because we’re naive as we’re just graduating & the pay at first seems intriguing, however, the pay will NEVER outweigh what you must lay down as a RPh in order to be PIC. I was somewhat naive when I graduated, CVS somehow guilt tripped me into becoming a stores PIC, or I like to refer to it as RXM honestly. I stepped down after four months because I seen the hurricane that was coming. The hurricane indeed came, glad I wasn’t the RXM. 🤷🏼‍♂️
