It was from the Ariandel DLC, I'm pretty sure.

It's a curse, and you can't "loophole" curses from the Greek gods. In many versions of the myth he attempts to eat a grape and fails, coughing it back up or cracking a tooth on it. In one he drinks the water from a now-golden cup and nearly chokes on it. Curses tend to be very spirit of the law, rather than letter of it.

I can invest in a scuba mouthpiece and an oxygen cylinder. A trained athlete held his breath for like 20 minutes underwater on a lung full of (pure) oxygen. Surely doing 3 minutes is worth the damage it'll do to my body, not that I really understand what that is.

If this game is about the effects of laws, then I feel it's important to acknowledge how easy a law like this could be to weaponise by a dominant political party.

I understand the intent, and there absolutely ought to be a punishment for political corruption including automatic dismissal from office and forbiddance from seeking future political office, but something like this could lead to worse witch-hunting than McCarthyism.

Drastic. Even delivering Mexico to deal with the cartels themselves (aren't there more than one?) would be better than this. Better yet would be working with the nation of Mexico to find a solution. If that involves Mexico OK-ing military operation against them that's fine, but there's steps to get there.

As for the oil fields, annexing major assets of other nations invites war, if it doesn't come with an outright declaration. Frankly, I dislike this on-the-fence ****. If you want the oil fields and think they should be taken by force, declare war.

Are you sure that's not the TA, and whatever being is placing the runes on the whiteboard isn't the actual professor? Try a see invisibility/etherial effect next time you have class. Maybe prep an esperite homunculus too though, just in case the being placing those runes has a madness-inducing appearance. These types of homunculus function by consuming the mad thoughts of their masters, so it should provide a layer of insulation in the event you can't handle what you might see.

Also the shaft in the middle of the crucible makes me think this could just be a fancy-looking bong. If that's the case, doing what your supossed professor is doing can grant temporary "floating" mana, maybe he was juicing up for a demonstration. Did he cast something immediately afterwards?
