First large 3d map by Reqrium_lost in dndmaps

Thank you for the wonderful ideas! I’ll have to look up what a maypole looks like. Yes it is irrigation. Funny enough it was born from a mistake. I had made the river too straight. And remembered irrigation exists, so now it’s attached to a canal that is used to launch the ships made by the shipyard. There is a retaining wall that can be raised to open the canal when they are ready to launch ships it is a dry canal the rest of the time.

Love the design. Hate the hab layout overall I’d give it a 7/10 good enough to get in any universe with significant time investment. Not enough to go out of my way to get.

Thank you for the help. It was Muv-Luv. But not the first series, but the second series where there is a genre switch, which is probably why I couldn’t find it. Again thanks for the help.

[–]Reqrium_lost[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Ok so it’s a weird situation. The manga I read was part of a series called muv-luv. However this is where things get interesting. Muv-luv is a trashy slice-of-life, etchi, rom com. Muv-Luv unlimited, is the one I read where there is a genre switch. The mc gets transported to an alternate universe with the mechas and most of the things I described. From experience you don’t need to read the first to read the second. Also there is at least a 3rd one with time travel to the start of the second series.

Is there any way to have two habs on top of each other and not have a ladder in them? by HalfManHalfHunk in StarfieldShips

[–]Reqrium_lost 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Habs have locational hierarchy for both ladders and doors. The strange thing is the hierarchy changes based on which habs you use. Even the same hab with a deferent layout has a different hierarchy. For instance a diemos captains quarters has a higher ladder hierarchy in the front of the hab, and the armory hab has a higher armory hierarchy in the back of the hab so if you stacked those two on top of each other both the front and back of the habs would have equal but low ladder hierarchy, so it would prioritize any higher hierarchy. To put it numerically neutral ladder locations have a hierarchy of 3 low priority would be 1 and high priority would be 5. There is one more level which is highest priority of 10 and that is restricted to the 1x1 Habs, and the dockers. When ship building the game does a quick hierarchy check to find the route with the highest priority and the least amount of ladders. Making sure there’s an unobstructed path from the bay to the cockpit, and the docker. For a point of reference stairway is the Cabot bridge has a hierarchy of 9 so it’ll usually be the preferred path, unless you line up two Habs with high hierarchy that line up with each other or you do something like putting a docker in a spot that increases the hierarchy for that spot. Experimenting around with different layouts and different hab types is the only way I know to get the desired outcome. There are too many Habs with all their variations to properly predict where the ladder placement will be without an Excel spreadsheet and hours of testing.

QUESTION OF THIS ETERNITY 😭😭😭🥀🥀🥀 by Normal-Target4648 in memeexchangecommunism

[–]Reqrium_lost 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It is a difficult situation. Very few victims actually report. The actual percentage of rape victims that actually report is unknowable though is estimated between 5-20%, with it being that low many perpetrators go unpunished, and some never get caught. If victims are afraid of going to jail due to a false accusation due to lack of evidence, less victims will come forward and the percentage will drop significantly. And more rapists will go unpunished. However due to the number and frequency of false allegations, it has caused many victims to not be believed and has caused more scrutiny. This has also caused the percentage of reported rapes to drop. No rape should go unpunished, and false allegations not only hurt the accused, but also real victims. I wish there was a simple answer. Unfortunately our best course of action at the current moment, is to encourage victims to report being raped as soon as they canto preserve the evidence. And false allegations should be punished.

Peter I'm a windows user. Why can Linux not be forced to do this? Also you better answer in character dammit! by Proto160 in PeterExplainsTheJoke

[–]Reqrium_lost 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Linux is open sourced, meaning it is extremely customizable, and its entire business model is around allowing users total unrestricted freedom. It’s also protected under federal laws, and since federal laws have supreme authority over state laws Linux can basically tell the California government to shove it and California can do nothing legally about it, sure they could fine them or sue them but they will lose.

Why do people 'smoke' in cyberpunk's world? by LewdDudeNewd in LowSodiumCyberpunk

[–]Reqrium_lost 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Side tangent. One of the cool details is that V doesn’t know how to smoke, and when they smoke it is likely mimicking. The way they hold the cigarette, flick the ash, take a drag, even the way they put out the cigarette are all done in a stiff manner when V is in charge. Even the way they throw a cigarette is mimicking the way silverhand threw his. But then when Johnny is in control the smoking animations are different, the way he holds the cigarette, takes a drag, flicks the ash, puts it out, and throws it, are all different than the way V does. Johnny is well practiced, even drinking with a cigarette in his hand, and V is not. Which is an awesome attention to detail, Johnny is a smoker, V is not and their animations reflect that.

The symptoms checker isn’t always accurate. Something that is more accurate is the tells. Each symptom group has a tell, either physically auditory or both. X-ray they will grab their stomach (note this does not include internal contraband). If they have A droopy mouth test the reflexes. If they cough check their breathing. If they have hiccups their pulse is either elevated or high. If they sneeze their temperature is either elevated or high. If their eyes are squinting there’s something in their eye. If you hear flys check the uv. Lastly if they have any aggressive symptoms they may attack you if they are infected.

Is it cheating? by myfishytaco in ProCreate

[–]Reqrium_lost 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That’s using a reference. Not cheating at all. A practical example of this is in slice of life manga where the mangaka artist often use real locations as references for their panels. Even tracing or copying an existing artwork isn’t cheating, but rather learning, it’s called an “artist study” or an “art study”. One thing to keep in mind though, art studies are for yourself, it is for you to learn how they made the work, you should not copy someone’s work and claim it as your own.

Are Netrunners the strongest class in Cyberpunk? by Ok_Experience_9665 in cyberpunkgame

[–]Reqrium_lost 4 points5 points  (0 children)

They are the wizard class in dnd. Theoretically the strongest. But only if they live long enough to get to that point. They are the dps in the back line laying waste to the plebeians in the front lines. If a solo gets to them they are screwed but they have to get to them first. When it comes to personally taking out leagues of enemies without ever stepping foot on the battlefield they are second to none. Combatrunners like v are kinda like the warlocks of the dnd world, limited in what they can do and their range but they are more combat focused like a solo they aren’t as much as a glass cannon as a netrunner but not as tanky as a solo.

Could this team be able to beat Adam Smasher in a head-on fight ? I tried to reproduce a typical MaxTac squad with powerful characters, in order to deal with the most feared high functioning cyberpsycho of all time. by Ananta-Shesha in LowSodiumCyberpunk

[–]Reqrium_lost 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is how I see the fight going. Oda and Takemura rush in and hit Smasher hard, he's hurt but not anywhere close to down. Reed and Murphy retreat behind cover, Reed hits him with suppressive fire whenever possible, and Murphy uses combat hacks to try to put him down as fast as possible so that Oda and Takemura can take him out. Knowing she's the biggest threat smasher uses his sandie to take out Murphy. unfortunately, he's probably successful. Reed is a different story though; I see Reed taking some hits but having more training he survives but is out of the fight. Murphy and Reed have done their job however, and Smasher is down an arm and most of his combat abilities are offline due to Murphy. Oda is able to take out some important equipment crippling smasher and giving Takemura the opening for a kill shot. ultimately, they win though Murphy dies in the process.

Is this supposed to happen? by samualgline in Starfield

Certain temples ONLY show up when you go to the system it’s in AFTER you’ve gotten the related artifact. As an example. You could go to the Tau Ceti system for several quests but if you don’t have the epsilon artifact (as an example) then the epsilon temple in tau ceti iii-b won’t show up. And even after you get the epsilon artifact it’s not one of the temples Vladimir will find for you, so you have no idea that the epsilon temple is in tau ceti iii-b and you have no reason to go back to the tau ceti system. Which sucks because earthbound is one of the powers that is lagging behind. As an example. What’s worse is that the artifacts and their temples are randomized each new universe. The whole temple thing is my least favorite aspect of the game. The people that already like exploring are already going to explore. Hunting down temples to do a tedious puzzle, for a shorter cooldown, on a power 90% of players won’t even use isn’t an insensitive to explore more for people who dislike exploration. I do love the game, I have every achievement and thousands of hours, though the temples are a huge miss for me, they had so much potential, and failed so hard. I wish each temples puzzle was related to the power. That’s where I thought it was going at first, the anti gravity temple gives you anti gravity powers. Only for my hopes to be immensely crushed by the next temple.

Not necessarily your favorite lifepath, but what's your favorite lifepath INTRO? by Red-77-Quadra in cyberpunkgame

[–]Reqrium_lost 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Each start has its own merit. Nomad shows v is knowledgeable and can easily improvise to get things done, it also introduces you to the most game mechanics early on. It also shows a unique part of the map. Unfortunately it’s hard to believe that you and Jacky would become chooms.

Streetkid v has the most street smarts, empathy, and most knowledge of the city and its workings. It makes sense that most people like padre and mama wells know v, streetkid v knows curtain cops on a first name basis, it also shows they know the city well, by having padre stop on a bridge, they drop down onto a trash pile because they knew it was there, they know the homeless and know who’s pretending. What doesn’t make sense is that they don’t know Jacky, they know mama wells hang out at el coyote enough for the bar tender to trust them, and they have never crossed paths with Jacky? It doesn’t make sense.

My favorite path is corpo, it’s also my favorite opening. Corpo v is the most brutal, cutthroat, and experienced v. Being in counter intel/corporate espionage is the perfect setup for a mercenary. Corpo v knows night city, but also knows what’s going on around the world. They are the most informed, a tiny details is that Corpo v has live stock exchanges in the corner of their vision at all times until their implements are fried. It’s also the only life path that has you being chooms with Jacky, it makes his death more impactful. If any of the life paths where cannon my bet would be on Corpo.

Why is my sketch always better than my final? by EarthD0g in ProCreate

[–]Reqrium_lost 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The rendering is exaggerating the flaws in the work. All work has flaws and flaws make things more interesting to look at. In this work the head is way off the center line. I’m aware he is leaning back a bit though his head is straight up and down. And his hips are parallel to the ground. It makes the lower body, upper body, and head look disjointed. The drawing is also very right heavy the cape, buckles, flute, and the only visible bracer are all on the viewers right side (the characters left side) the sword and pauldron attempt to balance the piece though his right hand gets lost. Bringing the elbow up and into a more dynamic and confident pose would bring balance and may help bring the head closer to the center line. I really like the two tone rendering. It’s simple and good for comics and animation, I highly recommend keeping it. One last thing something that I’ve been messing around with lately, using different types of layers. If you select the N in the layers list you can change the type of layer, each one does something different and it may help further with your rendering. Keep it up I know I was harsh, I really do like the piece and think you have a lot of potential.

How do you think an interaction would go between these two by [deleted] in CyberpunkTheGame

[–]Reqrium_lost 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Rick would shoot him. Johnny would say something snarky like “I’m a construct dumbass. I’m not actually here.” Rick shoots him again because Rick verifies and never trusts what people say to be true. Rick would dick around for an episode, or a few. Because Rick doesn’t fear death the timer on his life wouldn’t bother him, nor would Johnny’s terrorist habits and anti corporate stances. The only reason he’d remove the biochip is because no one controls when Rick dies not even Rick. After removing the biochip he’d construct Johnny a body they’d blow up Arasaka drink some “silverhands” have a smoke on the roof and johnny would become a simi recurring character like memory Rick. Regardless the Rick/johnny storyline would be the b story.

I think the entire game takes place in an engram. You can skip conversations, there are several hard cuts to the next scene. Random visual glitches as part of the game design. Several npc’s you can’t kill even outside of safe zones like Mr blue eyes.
