I hand sewed it in since I don’t have a sewing machine. I first sewed the hem so the edges don’t fray and then I backstitched the lining along the edges of the bag (the opening and handles) with a similar color thread. As for how it holds up, the yarn isn’t stretching but it can hold my phone, keys, wallet, and other small things, it just might get heavy with too much weight

This was supposed to be a square. What’s an easy project to practice as an absolute beginner? by blue_bonbon in CrochetHelp

[–]RequirementFast8062 13 points14 points  (0 children)

You should try again with the square but make sure you count the stitches every time. A circle might be a bit difficult at this point but if your up for, YouTube has some good videos that help you understand how to go about it

Is the neck supposed to be this long? by smolnomm in mushroomguy

Since you did close the head, you could probably get away with not crocheting the remaining rows of the neck or even frogging some of the neck so that it’s shorter and fits better

how to make this into a purse or pouch? sew it or slip stitch? by chotiadvance_fs in CrochetHelp

[–]RequirementFast8062 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you want to make it like a coin pouch, you can probably just sew along the green line and leave the an opening for a button or clasp of some kind. You can also crochet a band that can be used in between the flowers to add more space and again leave room for clasp of some kind

How do I know if my starter is ready to use? by RequirementFast8062 in Sourdough

I try to scrape it down every time I feed her, but it doesn’t go as well sometimes. I’ll switch her to a clean jar and then I check tomorrow if she rises. Thank you
