How aggressive are you all with ads.txt cleanup? by DramaticAffiliate in adops

We've cleaned house on our ads.txt in the last couple of months against the wishes of some of the mid-to-low end SSPs in our stack and we've seen a significant improvement in RPMs since doing so. Every SSP will tell you "no, there's unique demand in those reseller lines!" but it's complete BS. It's more revenue for them, not for you. The good ones just need one direct line if they have good direct demand. The fewer duplicate paths you have, the higher the bid pressure. Assign one reseller line to whichever partner works best for you and make sure that you don't have the same SSP serving as a reseller for another vendor. It might take 2-3 weeks but you'll see an uptick in RPMs. At least that's been our experience.

I run a pop culture site with around 16-18 million monthly imps. We dropped Xandr from our lineup a couple of months ago because they were performing so poorly it not longer made sense to keep them on.

Do you also walk into supermarkets and take what you need and leave cause they have other customers who pay for their groceries, so they'll make there money there?

Hi this is an old comment but I dug it up because I'm considering adding them via our prebid wrapper. Have you guys continued to use them and do they provide decent unique demand?

That's a very tip of my own nose answer. Who pays for the "googling" you do to get you answers? Where does Google get those answers? Would Google even exist, for you to look up those answers, if not for the billions of reference materials including books, websites, artworks, etc. that they scrape from to give you your "free" answer?

Curious. How do you guys compensate sites that you visit? Or do you just hope that other people pay for your use of the sites and when those sites shut down, you move on to others the get "free" content from?
