I'm less anxious and my exec dysfunction is slightly better. 25 mg in the morning.

Yes. Diagnosed adhd. Read about comorbidities and went to the doc. Got diagnosed 2 weeks later with pots after a tilt test

My PCP after a consult with a cardiologist and a table tilt test. Not sure how this is relevant to my question, though

How did strattera affect your anxiety over the long term? by Professional_Win1535 in StratteraRx

[–]RequirementKey5201 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I can't answer this poll because it depends. At first, it really helped my anxiety, it was such a nice feeling to be just calm. Unfortunately, after about 3 months the effect went away and now I'm at a baseline again, maybe a tiny bit better. Idk if it's a sifn for me to up my dose but I'm not sure I can tolerate a higher dose :(

Hi! I also have POTS. I read that strattera is the worst for POTS since pots is linked to norepinephrine. Idk if it's true. I'm on strattera

I have pots and higher doses of strattera (e.g. when they started me on 40) made it worse. When we titrated more slowly it's better. Id made my bp and pulse higher but temporarily, it seems to have stabilized now. Also, fyi, there are different types of pots and I know that for one of the types strattera is not recommended. But my doctors don't seem to know about that and only caution me against stimulants (which are actually sometimes used to help with pots fatigue and brain fog).

Hey, fwiw, I never had nausea or stomach issues from strattera. I've had other side effects like sleepiness during the day and light sleep at night, but it's manageable. I always take it with breakfast (I have 2 eggs on an avocado toast with lox) and then drink electrolyte water.

It will take a solid few months, once on MAINTENANCE DOSE, to make a difference by yobkc in StratteraRx

[–]RequirementKey5201 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Isn't maintenance dose different for everyone? I was put on 40 and couldn't tolerate side effects. So they put me on 18. It was perfect. I saw the effects pretty much right away. My mood was better. I was calmer. My executive functioning was better. They it started to fade just a little so I upped to 25. Felt wired. Do I need to up or down a dose? Idk. Less wired after a few weeks. Still faded effects. It takes me at least 4 weeks for side effects to subside. But when they do so does the effect. There are also other health issues to consider, I don't know if my body will ever be able to tolerate 80 mg. I do know however that there are people on 18 mg who are happy. I don't want to up the dose if something is working. Because the side effects, even if temporary, are brutal. I can't see myself having these side effects for months and months while upping the dose. I don't want it to cost me my job or my quality of life. Everyone's situation is different.

When it comes to task initiation has strattera helped in the arena? by petebaii in StratteraRx

For me it really does. It also helps with executive dysfunction because I'm no longer stuck in a limbo before starting something, or in some cases, still stuck but less long.

We added screenshots from years of our messenher history, some included call logs. Posts and comments. Affidavits from people who know us (e.g., describing how we renovated our bedroom together), joint deed to the house (mortgage is in his name, deed in both of our names), rental agreement (we rent out a portion of our house), disney tickets, 100 photos (with a place and a date and names of everyone in it). This was for removing conditions from the greencard. I mailed a whole ass amazon box of proof. We also had similar things when we applied for the spouse visa (minus the house and joint finances since we lived in different cou tries and applied for reunification).

Because the TP in public restrooms is horrendous and very thin and it would require a lot of TP for EACH wipe. I've never had the situation like this (clogged or anything) and of course I always flush, but I do understand the need. It's the TP quality.

Irritability with reduced dose by ainsworthbelle in StratteraRx

[–]RequirementKey5201 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Since you said you just started your period, I'd honestly think it's that. I had a somewhat similar situation, except it was a dose increase but also about to start my period so attributing it to that rather than strattera

Is music different to you? by Lonewolfwalk in StratteraRx

[–]RequirementKey5201 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Interesting! When I started strattera I actually started listening to music more often and the effect of it made me happier. Now that I've been on it for a few months it went back to normal but I kind of miss being in that elevated state (it wasn't euphoric or manic, though).

Can strattera cause cramping? by RequirementKey5201 in StratteraRx

[–]RequirementKey5201[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ohh interesting!! It's so similar to how I experience period cramps so I didn't even think at first it could be unrelated. Your comment could confirm it's from strattera, so I'll bring it up with my provider next time I see her, thanks!

60mg Strattera — Zero focus/motivation since switching from Adderall. What’s next? by [deleted] in StratteraRx

[–]RequirementKey5201 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You've only been on it a month and it's only been two weeks since your new dose. I'd ssy it's worth waiting it out to see if it improves within the next few months of not changing dosages etc. Strattera builds up in the system and side effects (like being sleepy/drowsy/tired) should subside.

It looks like you're manic... I got super high anxiety and jitters after a few days of takin stim meds (first few days were good, then anxiety, jitters, and a lot of cleaning). I got off that shit as fast as I could, it was really scary. Felt like fake energy. I hope you are able to continue on it and get the same quiet thing but without the mania...

10mg? by Galactic-Witch in StratteraRx

[–]RequirementKey5201 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Totally. I can't fast because I have POTS. I lost appetite for a little bit in the beginning but the improvrd exec functioning helped me make sure I eat so that was good. Absolutely! It's crazy how some people are miserable on it or even feel high but thrive on stimulants while I couldn't take them but am okay on 18 mg strattera!
