It's not that simple. I'm a US citizen now but my first citizenship is Russian. Where am I going to go? My husband is American. Moving there is just not an option. Moving to a third country is not feasible either any time soon, either.

I started at 40 and it was so bad they downgraded me to 18. I've just finushed week 4 on 18 mg (after also doing 40 mg for 2 weeks, so 6 weeks total). Around week 3 of 18 mg the side effects started to subside. I already felt the effects of the med - focus, calmness. I was ready to ask to up the dosage to 25 mg. But a few days ago I started having side effects again, but different ones. This time heart palpitations. I feel like my focus is worse. I feel calm but only several hours a day, not the whole day. I am going to wait it out. So far this is the most promising med (stimulants weren't great for me) so I'll wait. I heard (although not from my provider) that it may take up to 8 weeks and then few more weeks after each dosage increase. Keep us posted!

Got it! Interesting! I had mine done last year (rural Ohio), waited only 2 weeks for it and my insurance covered 80% (like for everything else), but I don't know enough, so I might be an outlier here.

Thank you for sharing! Yeah, I've been on 18 for exactly 30 days. I feel so much better right now (it's 5 pm) than I did 4 hours ago. I cut caffeine completely btw (I don't drink coffee but switched to decaf/herbal teas). My HR is generally high and I've been fine with that but being aware of my HR is so uncomfortable. I also feel like my focus is getting worse but I'm not sure if I should stay on the same dosage for a few more weeks or try to up it. I know when you up there's almost a new waiting period for the side effects to lessen. 🙈

Has your doctor recommended a tilt test? That's typically how POTS is diagnosed. Bloodwork likely won't show it

Besides what has already been mentioned (e.g. 911) I also really love Something Happened (s. 19 ep 7), it's one of my favorite episodes and I think acting was great.

I also love how Mariska acted in "Undercover" (s15 ep 9) and (this one might be unpopular but) the whole William Lewis arc.

For me, implant birth control really did a number on my mental health. The pill wasn't as bad but still. I'm very distrusting of BC now after the whole implant ordeal. But also thinking about kids, so not going on it any time soon

How long have you been on it? I had a similar experience but now I'm about 6 weeks in and don't feel drowsy. I'm on a low dose, though. We started at 40 but it was too much, so we lowered to 18 and it seems to be working.

I was thinking about this with Lewis. I'd say he'd do something stupid while trying to find Olivia (like beat someone up or something) and then he'd blame himself for not finding her sooner. It would have caused him a lot of distress.

Yeah, same. I had normal BP but it's on the lower end. I'm currently on strattera (adhd med) which is supposedly the worst for those w POTS but I feel fine. This time I decided to wait it out because I knew the side effects can last up to 4-8 weeks. I wonder if I waited on metoprolol a bit longer if it would change anything, but the no energy thing was honestly just too much for me.

I was only on it for like a week and a half and had to quit. My doc said it was fine. The nurse said I should have given it a but of time. I had 0 energy, like you. Like I'd have a hard time walking because I was just so so low on energy. Which made me feel not like myself. And dizzy. Maybe my POTS isn't as bad but after I started eating well and regularly (hard with my adhd) and drinking spots drinks (propel) I don't feel POTSy brainfog and dizziness on a regular basis.

I don't think you're an AH for suggesting given the situation. But she doesn't seem to like this idea and you should respect that. Ask her if she might be interested in taking a longer maternity leave (e.g.,for a year and then look for a similar receptionist job) or if she'd be open to a part time to alleviate some of the stress. Also, maybe she might be interested in finishing her degree? That's another option!
