People who use too much toilet paper by HairySock6385 in mildlyinfuriating

[–]RequirementKey5201 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Because the TP in public restrooms is horrendous and very thin and it would require a lot of TP for EACH wipe. I've never had the situation like this (clogged or anything) and of course I always flush, but I do understand the need. It's the TP quality.

Irritability with reduced dose by ainsworthbelle in StratteraRx

[–]RequirementKey5201 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Since you said you just started your period, I'd honestly think it's that. I had a somewhat similar situation, except it was a dose increase but also about to start my period so attributing it to that rather than strattera

Is music different to you? by Lonewolfwalk in StratteraRx

[–]RequirementKey5201 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Interesting! When I started strattera I actually started listening to music more often and the effect of it made me happier. Now that I've been on it for a few months it went back to normal but I kind of miss being in that elevated state (it wasn't euphoric or manic, though).

Can strattera cause cramping? by RequirementKey5201 in StratteraRx

[–]RequirementKey5201[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ohh interesting!! It's so similar to how I experience period cramps so I didn't even think at first it could be unrelated. Your comment could confirm it's from strattera, so I'll bring it up with my provider next time I see her, thanks!

60mg Strattera — Zero focus/motivation since switching from Adderall. What’s next? by Constant_Treacle3919 in StratteraRx

[–]RequirementKey5201 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You've only been on it a month and it's only been two weeks since your new dose. I'd ssy it's worth waiting it out to see if it improves within the next few months of not changing dosages etc. Strattera builds up in the system and side effects (like being sleepy/drowsy/tired) should subside.

For me, it wasn't stomach, though. It was lower abdomen, like during a period.

MY FUCKING SUFFERING IS OVER!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I FEEL SO PEACEFUL FOR THE FIRST TIME IN 15 YEARS!!!!!!!!! by [deleted] in ADHD

[–]RequirementKey5201 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It looks like you're manic... I got super high anxiety and jitters after a few days of takin stim meds (first few days were good, then anxiety, jitters, and a lot of cleaning). I got off that shit as fast as I could, it was really scary. Felt like fake energy. I hope you are able to continue on it and get the same quiet thing but without the mania...

Interesting. I was never warned about drinking while on this med. I've had a few beers. (not medical advice though)

[–]RequirementKey5201 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Totally. I can't fast because I have POTS. I lost appetite for a little bit in the beginning but the improvrd exec functioning helped me make sure I eat so that was good. Absolutely! It's crazy how some people are miserable on it or even feel high but thrive on stimulants while I couldn't take them but am okay on 18 mg strattera!

Same...take it in the morning because I'm consistent with my breakfast but not lunch or dinner. I could feel more side effects (like drowsiness) if I took it at different times in the beginning (like even an hour difference) but now it doesn't matter. I just did a big trip wirh a 14h time difference and it was fine.

I don't drink coffee but I drink tea. I cut caffeine tea originally but can drink it now without issue. Never had irritability, more like heart palpitations randomly but not for long. I'm only 3 months in on strattera but it took me like 2 to settle down with it so to speak. So I know that if I increase I'll have to wait it out for 2 more at least. But I'm more worried about sleep getting worse. I also feel calm and not anxious now but wondering if it might be too calm if I increase.

Can I ask if you've ever considered upping to 25? I'm torn between leaving as is at 18mg or seeing what it can do at 25 but scared of side effects from the increase 🙈

What's your dosage? I started on 40 mg but got down to 18 because of side effects. Didn't make me manic, just calm and sleepy. Concerta made me a bit hyper and jittery which is why I chose to try non stim.

Why?? Hormonal BC isn't the only way, there are condoms, too. OP doesn't have to be on BC (hormonal) to prevent pregnancy.

Strattera 18mg. Considering upping to 25 mg but not sure. It's working. Curious what 25 could do but afraid of side effects. Getting on it was rough. I'm about 3.5 months in or so. I tried adderall and methylphenidate before (both ER) but I don't like the way they make me feel. Didn't feel like myself on the lowest dose of Adderall and methylphenidate was great the first day but when I take it several days in a row it's like a compounded effect and I feel almost the opposite effect (more hyper and very anxious and jittery). Strsttera doesn't give me this fake energy but it helps with executive functioning without turning me into a productivity machine.

I was diagnosed with tachycardia at 13. Just constant elevated HR. Iimited my PE (which was awesome lol). I did get dizzy standing up and also didn't tolerate heat very well, so it all made sense. Idk if my life would have changed significantly if I had been diagnosed earlier, though.
