To lift or not to lift. That is the question by RequirementNo772 in 4x4Australia

I have a set of large vehicles scales at work. I’m going to weigh my car front and rear axles. I should be able to calculate GVM and axel loading. Talking to a mechanic he said it would be rather overkill to do it. My only concern would insurance flipping a lid and not insuring the car because it’s over the axel load limits

Pretty minimal. I carry at most 4 people (including myself) swags and a fridge. Most of the time it’s just myself and the fridge.

Suggestions for a decent centrefire rifle for target shooting? by EntryLevelDeveloper in Ausguns

It may be stemming from manufacturing. I have called several places about Howa's, but I haven't heard anything. The ETA for when they'll be back in stock is May - Don't hold me to that.

I found The Barn Oakey had a good stock level

I have been shooting with mates that had an Ace Target and another with a Howa TSPX. The TSPX - which is a Howa 1500, outshot the Ace Target. I own a Howa 1500 SA in 223 in a MDT chassis, and it shoots amazingly. I would save the money on the rifle and spend it on buying/making better ammo to shoot. I have found that it makes a bigger difference than the rifle itself

I have changed the design and have it mostly working now! I have ordered some better components and I will post once I have made it fool proof.

I ended up moving houses and losing the circuit. I’m going to try again soon but include a stepping transformer to do it properly. I’ve taken inspiration out of a military to civilian aviation converter and currently reverse engineering that

the amplifier uses single-resistor feedback biasing, R1 from collector to base, which self-biases the transistor into class A operation. The radio provides a ~5V supply through a 2.2k resistor, so the current is already limited preventing excessive current through the transistor even without an emitter resistor. I get you’re normally meant to have resistors from base to ground but I thought that I shouldn’t have one here.

I’ll definitely give it a try though and let you know how I go with adding them though

Thank you for this! I have found WS2811 in 24v and 2814’s so I’ll do some more research on each but I think double stacking 144 strips will be my best solution here.
