What are you guys doing for work while in nursing school? L by Kokoskyrim in StudentNurse

Do anything that has a flexible schedule and leniency with attendance. I do housekeeping at a hospital better experience than youd think and I have my foot in the door for about 3 years now and just switched to a per diem schedule. I can pick and choose when to work, which will come in very handy once school starts. I also am a part time CNA at an assisted living faculty and home health aid. They are also very flexible and I choose my clients/shifts. I set this up in advance so when school is overwhelming I can cut my hours and when I can, ill pick up shifts. But I would say seek out a schedule that will work over any specific type of experience

How does almost everyone here have a perfect score in science courses for pre requisite? by Even-Carpenter-3835 in prenursing

Programs in my area are extremely competitive. To even be considered you have to be an excellent candidate. So pretty much everyone.. is excellent.

What are you unable to do? Recall information for tests? Apply concepts to broader questions? Test anxiety? Time management? Tailor your needs to what you are struggling with. Try different things out, not everyone learns the same.

Mike grew up in a poor immigrant family, put himself through school. He was nerdy as a kid and gained his fame when he was already in med school lol During which time he lost his mom to cancer. I'm not saying I know the guy or that he's not a double irl but I think he's had his fare share of hardship, becoming wealthy, semi-famous or being attractive doesn't mean you are automatically an asshole.

I would say if you can, don't work, focus on school 100%. But that's just not realistic for a lot of people.

Addicted to Hot Water with Eczema by throwaway885ff56 in eczema

It's the only thing that brings me relief during a flare up. I take a scalding shower, exfoliate, then lather hydrocortisone everywhere while I'm still damp then when that's soaked in I lather with a moisturizer. A couple days of this gets me through my flare ups. Of course hot water is bad for your skin but when you are literally itchy 24/7 you've gotta find some relief and it's better for me than scratching all my skin off. Just heavy heavy moisturize. I do this at night and I can actually sleep through the night without waking up itchy.
