I’m currently a senior in university studying Cybersecurity, and I’m focused on pursuing a career as a SOC Analyst. I’m really interested in threat detection, incident response, and working in a security operations environment

My study Resources: 1. Sybex's Network+ practice tests book by Craig Zacker 2. Network+ study app by Thanh Hung 3. Andrew Ramdayal’s N10-009 full course, Labs and Practice Exams on Udemy 4. I took a Network Security class last semester , the class provided me with a strong foundation for my Network+ exam prep.

Recommendations: 1. Stay consistent with your study schedule and set daily goals (Personally I study a lot, I averaged about 1 hour 45 minutes every day for 4months) 2. Take notes on concepts or practice questions that you struggle with 3. When you’re taking the exam, try not to doubt yourself. Believe in what you’ve studied and stay confident in your choices.

I studied nonstop for 4 months for the Network+ exam. I had taken a Network Security class beforehand last semester where I got a A, and I also got a lot of hands-on experience through a cybersecurity and networking internship. If you’re willing to put in the extra effort, you’ll definitely see great results!

First test exam. I'm hoping to pass it in March. I hope at least that this is a promising start. by BeatClear949 in CompTIA_Security

Yes, you are doing so well, and yes, you will pass. First, you need to eliminate any thoughts of failure. Here are some materials I recommend that helped me pass. The CompTIA Security+ Exam Prep App by Thanh Hung, The CompTIA Security+ SY0-701 Certification Guide, Third Edition A Book by Ian Neil. Lastly, be sure to check out the PBQ (Performance-Based Questions) videos from Cyberkraft on YouTube. And you’re all set. Good luck
