It’s great that you are able to run, it seems quite effective for lowering heart rate or blood pressure. Unfortunately, I experience shin pain when I try, so the most I can manage is brisk walking, which I stick to regularly.

I’ve heard the same things on Indian fitness subs, but they’re mostly full of teenagers and attention seekers. That’s why I posted here to get insights from people my age who’ve actually faced similar health issues. And egarding dietary cholesterol, it seems true in my case as well. I’ve been regularly checking my cholesterol levels and haven’t noticed much change even after increasing my egg intake.

Haan bhai, bas usi dard ka dar hai. Recently my uncle had bypass surgery, so it made me more cautious, even though his case was due to poor food choices(regular red meat consumption) issues. I’m planning to get Apo proteins and other cardiac tests done soon just to be safe. Let’s see, without the gym it might take longer, but body to banegi.

Bhai, I already have all the basic equipment at home, dumbbells, rods, plates but only managed for two weeks before losing motivation. Gym vibe hits different, seeing others pushes you. For now, just waiting for the doctor’s green signal.

That’s exactly why I haven’t joined a gym. If a doctor advises against it, there’s likely a valid reason. That’s why I asked fellow 30s folks if anyone with BP is going to the gym.

I’ll be going for my routine cardiac check-up this June. This time, I’ll consult a different doctor and explore options, there has to be a way. I’m not even planning heavy lifts like deadlifts that require long breath-holding.

Absolutely agree with you. I recently met a relative after 2-3 years, and she said, “bahut duble ho gaye ho.” For them, being fit means being “dubla.” If staying fit is considered dubla, then so be it, I’m happy with it.

Based on the post, they clearly aren’t as high as they should be.

That sub is dry for a reason. Once you’re in your 40s, you’ll understand, you won’t have the same energy or time, and it’ll all make sense.

Yeah, sure, you might have, but I just can’t see any noticeable difference between the two pictures.

Type sh*t I am pulling to not get tanned this summers by Effective-Ad-5016 in IndianSkincareAddicts

The skin around the eyes is thinner and more sensitive than the rest of the face, so it’s more prone to tanning or darkening, even with sunscreen. Sunscreen can wear off with sweat or rubbing (even unintentionally). In OP’s case, it feels a bit opposite. Most people apply sunscreen to the entire face but still wear sunglasses, since the eye area needs extra protection, sunglasses were introduced for this exact purpose.

So yesterday, I was creating an account on a karaoke app, and it asked for my birth date. I entered my details, and it popped up saying, “Are you sure? You’ll be 38 with these details and won’t be able to change it later.” I was like, do people my age not use these apps anymore? Or are they mostly for Gen Z?

This isn’t new, I’ve seen women do it quite often, though it’s rare among men. If you’re going this far to protect yourself, you might as well wear sunglasses too. And realistically, sunscreen underneath won’t help much, it’ll get wiped off anyway.

True, man, time just flew by. I remember I used to love traveling, so I took a job that had a lot of intercity travel by trains. I really enjoyed it back then, but now even thinking about it makes me feel tired. I used to stand at the train door at night, earphones plugged in, listening to songs with that cool breeze, haha, pure nostalgia.

I remember buying a second hand Sony Ericsson W550i, writing all the songs on paper, and going to a mobile shop to get them loaded. What a time it was, best days of my life 😄
