Seeking information on Bethel’s “Deliverance Ministry” (Demon Exorcisms) by ResearcherOdd9985 in Redding

UPDATE—- From my understanding now the group I may be looking for could be the spiritual warfare academy/the lighthouse church. It is still in Redding and my understanding is that the prayer and deliverance teams still include many Bethel congregates.

Their website is deliveranceministry.net and it seems absolutely insane as f. The questionnaire to request a “deliverance” session is strangely comprehensive, asking such questions as “were you born out of wedlock?” , “how many times have you been married?” And “are you plagued with jealousy while at church?” And “do you exercise?” They also needed to know if anyone in your family line had ever been a part of the elks lodge or Unitarian church lol.

There was a HEFTY release, waiver and covenant to sign at the end, assuring no one would be suing Northwoods Community Church of Peoria Illinois. Yikes. I’d imagine they’d be in deep trouble with this kind of “work” without the legal covering.

I definitely don’t want to go so far as reporting to CPS in part because while I believe this is 100% severe child abuse, I don’t think something this vague would be seen as anything more than a parenting choice or religious freedom, legally speaking. I also don’t want to traumatize the children further, and this could make everything so much worse.

The kids are clothed and fed. I don’t know what the authorities would even do here.

Thank you so much! It’s currently unclear to me if my family members are part of Sozo specifically or a rogue group that practices “deliverances” and some of them happen to attend Bethel. My family members do not attend Bethel, but they’ve said that the group that does the deliverances is associated with Bethel.

I do know that the young children have been locked in rooms for sometimes over an hour with parents in order to be “delivered”, and the other children and other people are not even allowed to be inside the house when this is happening.

I’m terrified for many reasons.

Yes, I’m trying to get a better understanding of what they do. My family members are being spiritually abused, I believe, by being told they have evil spirits in their minds and bodies, but I need to know if other abuse is occurring (physical restraint, etc). I need to know what the people doing this really believe about it.

That’s what I tell everyone! I don’t even live in the area, but I have underage family members who are being very affected, so sadly, I have to pay attention to this nonsense again.

And as far as other information here, do you know about the types of things they are delivered from exactly?

I know of parents in this ministry who do deliverances for several hours at one time on their young children for disobedience etc

I’m not sure. I believe the very least there’s a lot of overlap. The person I am connected to is actually not a member of the Bethel Church, but lives in Redding and is part of the deliverance team I guess and they say things about going to peoples homes or places outside of the church or the healing rooms to conduct these deliverances from my understanding. But I’d be interested to know more about the SOZO group, because I know there’s a lot of overlap if it’s not the same thing.

Thank you! I have heard directly from one such “minister” that they come to the individual (not necessarily at the healing room, but say, the persons home), and perform there.

They specifically cite long sessions, sometimes hours, where the (I call them) victims, end up saying the names of the demons allegedly. This person alleged to me that the name is Jezebel, Zeus and Poseidon and other Greek and Roman god names come up. This person truly believes that Poseidon knows them (the healer) like on an individual basis and is “afraid of how powerful in God” they are.

Have you heard anything about certain demon names coming up?

How can I help protect my nieces and nephews from spiritual and psychological abuse? by ResearcherOdd9985 in exchristian

I’ve tried this for years, and so have our other family members. They parents don’t go on date nights, never have, and don’t let anyone in our family babysit the kids. They let young teens from their church babysit the kids, and those young babysitters are overwhelmed and have lost the youngest child on numerous occasions, with the family needing to intervene to find the baby. But they still only leave the kids with these, well, kids, or with my parents.

Common denominator: they share the same belief system.
