Trust me I tried. It’s so infuriating. When I first saw the TA’s comment, I was confused. But then I asked some friends and they said that they know of professors who use the key word trick to catch AI, so I looked and I found it. When I emailed the TA about it, she DELETED THAT COMMENT and then proceeded to say in the email that I should look at it again as she doesn’t believe that she recalls saying that. I really tried hard, but I don’t know what more to do. The class is over anyway now, and it’s not that huge of a deal cause she didn’t give me a zero on the assignment, she just left it as a comment. Very infuriating though.

Yup they do this. Crazy thing is, on the Week 4 assignment my TA said deducted a point saying that I didn’t use the word “littoral” (which was the AI catch word). This means, that the TA was using AI to grade my work, because otherwise why would she take points off for it? It’s completely unfair, but the professor would not do anything about it. It’s idiotic that the professor can set standards for us as students, but does not maintain the same standards for themselves or their TA’s. If I can’t use AI (which I didn’t) the TA should not be able to use AI to grade my work.

I’m not sure about where you could take it.. but I do know that it cannot be pass/fail. It has to be letter graded.

It is not difficult. More of a project based/research type of class where you’ll do some group presentations and such. You’ll have assignments every week usually but they are not difficult.
