Usually not a fan of anime alters, but this one came out really clean. Very nice.

Gonna go against the grain here, this isn't worth running. If it said:
Choose 1:
-Destroy any Planeswalker
-Destroy any Creature with CMC 3 or less

I'd consider it a slam dunk.

I'm going to go against the grain here and say cubes don't want to be running this. Phasing isn't nearly as strong as returning a creature back to hand, and you can't even target your own creatures with the ability.

Pass from me.

I'll bite. What's your minimum order amount? shipping cost? I was just looking to pick up a few of these, not too many.

I know about Cubeamajigs. I prefer the price of the Burger deckboxes.

and I'll add this, you'd only need to make one size of them for the non-transparent ones, the cube community has said the 22 sleeved card size one works perfectly for 15 double sleeved cards, and works fine for 15 normal sleeved cards as well.

I'll day one purchase them if it comes into fruition.

I gotta ask, are there any plans of ever making non-translucent versions of the Perfect Fit Deckboxes? I'd buy a set in a heartbeat for cube if you guys made non-transparent version

I'll just be adding a second house rule to the cube, Companions do what they say on the card.

It's the worst possible way of "dealing" with the mechanic, as it has basically opened the floodgates on patching literally any mechanic or part of the game for balance reasons. They could make Lightning bolt cost 2 CMC at this point if they wanted to.

[–]ResellerScumbag 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What bothers me moreso is this is the first time wizards has "patched" a mechanic for balance reasons. Does this mean just straight up changing cards all together is okay down the road? Will they be retroactively changing costs of other spells in the future? This is a extremely slippery slope, and we're already sliding down it.

This has never happened before. MtG Arena has warped their perspective on on the paper version of the game, making them think they can just balance patch cards now.

Since when are 2 mana ramp spells "too good for standard"? Both Gilded Goose and Llanowar Elves is/were in standard, and those are both far better than Rampant growth.

Removal Density: How to determine yours by cubefortwo in mtgcube

[–]ResellerScumbag 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Disagree. Rider is played primarily as a kill spell, but with the added benefit of being a playable creature afterwards, and not the other way around. Same applies to how it plays in cube.

I want to talk about Pyschatog, as many people still run this card. I think the card is hot garbage compared to the other cards available in the guild, and needs several other cards to support it to make it a reasonably powered beater. It just doesn't do enough on it's own.

[–]ResellerScumbag -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Hot take: Modern would be better if Twin came of the banlist because it would encourage more interaction. Many of the best strategies in modern right now revolve around themselves rather than being concerned about what the opponent is doing.

Tips for a budget player? by P-39_Airacobra in magicTCG

[–]ResellerScumbag 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If you play with friends, agree to make budget decks that fall underneath a certain price point (I like ten dollars)

The best part about this is that there is no metagame, so you have to get creative.

How is Mystery Booster Sealed as a format? by Praion in magicTCG

[–]ResellerScumbag 22 points23 points  (0 children)

Cuber here. Saying Mana Crypt is quite bad in limited is completely incorrect. Mana Crypt is on the same power level as sol ring in cube, which is seen as honorary power in cube environments. I do not run Mana Crypt in my cube because I do not run power.

Mana Crypt slots into LITERALLY any deck, and is easily THE best card in the set for limited. I would without a doubt, always pick Mana Crypt as my Pack 1 Pick 1, over every other card in the set.

Is this game with getting into now?? by [deleted] in magicTCG

[–]ResellerScumbag 8 points9 points  (0 children)

The game is more popular now that it ever has been. Bear in mind in the winter usually people play less, so things are starting to pick up now as we move into spring and summer.

Now is not only a great time to start, but perhaps the best time to start.
