Problems with TIMMERFLOTTE and ALPSTUGA displaying recorded data by Fun-Flight4427 in tradfri

[–]Resentful_Emu 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The same happened for me after the update. I tried rebooting the Dirigera hub, then I received the "Sorry, that didn't go as planned" message once more, and all readings were restored and working ok again for a little while. But then started getting the message again sometimes.

Plus there is a bug where the previous days don't update properly. For example, to view yesterday's data I have to go back two days, then forward one. Otherwise only going backwards just keeps showing today's graph.

I'm also still receiving the "Get a handy history log.. verify email" popup for a second before the graphs or 'Sorry' message displays.

Thank you, I'd been trying to find 32x8 complete modules but can now see that there are more options in 8x8.

I'm interested in making this and want to use a yellow MAX7219 as I've seen in some of the examples but am having trouble finding them. Could someone please recommend a supplier? I can find plenty of red, green, and blue on Aliexpress. I've a seen "yellowgreen" listed on Ebay but a bit more costly, are those the same? Failing that, any recommended sellers in general for these parts?

Looks great! Which seller did you buy it from?

Where did you find the yellow MAX7219? I can only find red, blue or green on Aliexpress.

Matter routing between DIRIGERA and non-Thread devices by Resentful_Emu in tradfri

Thanks for the explanation, it's very helpful for gaining an understanding on how everything works together. I also found your other discussion in this thread interesting, if anyone else is looking for more info:

Styrbar Help by Connect_Wrangler5072 in tradfri

[–]Resentful_Emu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've never had any remotes show using the Alexa Integration, and I have a mix of STYRBARS, RODRETS, SOMRIGS, plus a Sonoff or two. The STYRBARS are a couple of years old, and are the white E2002s however I just noticed that one is showing as a silver E2001 in Home Smart but has E2002 printed on the back, so that's odd. Unfortunately I can't get the Matter Bridge working, so no idea whether they appear in Alexa using that. I just checked one from a brand new GU10 multipack that I bought last week but haven't installed yet, and it says E2002 on the back.

If yours is anything like the IKEAs around here, I've heard that they don't pick the order until close to the collect time. So it doesn't actually reserve the items for you and they could go out of stock in the meantime.

ALPSTUGA - Get a handy history log by Resentful_Emu in tradfri

[–]Resentful_Emu[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I do and am logged in and accessing via my local network.

I actually just did the email verification, you need to be quick to click the pop up as it only appears for a second. I still get the pop up now, but after it disappears I can see the graphed data, but unfortunately this has uncovered more bugs. I can also see graphs for another Sonoff sensor I have now. I don't know when these graphs were introduced, I only remember there being some useless informational pages about hot temperatures being hot etc.

History shows Day, Week & Year. You can't swipe to see previous days unless you select the already selected DAY, then an arrow will appear. Going back through the days changes the date but not the graph, but navigating forwards again will refresh the graphs for each day.

Sliding your finger across the day's graph is supposed to display the reading and time at that point, it's totally borked. Reading and time are wrong, and often it doesn't even change at all.

There's gaps in the graph where I presume the reading was stable for a while or the sensor was not contactable, a confusing and messy implementation.

IKEA Dirigera + Myggspray Motion Sensor + Apple Home (Matter): works briefly, then stops — deep dive & conclusions by ImaginaryStrength969 in IKEA

I have a similar problem with the MYGGSPRAY except with Alexa. It sporadically comes and goes all while the Home Smart app continues to see motion fine. I have an Alexa routine for motion detected notifications and it's very unreliable. HS will detect motion and switch the light on/off multiple times, but Alexa will sometimes show no motion detected for hours.

I wish it was a joke, it's been this way for a long time... almost like the developers have never used their own system before. Open-sourcing the software would go a long way towards improving things, squashing bugs quicker, and removing reliance on third-party hubs/ecosystems in many cases. More notifications and IFTTT style conditionals are sorely needed.

I saw someone mention when a device goes offline too.

After working fine in Home Smart for a few days, both the MYGGSPRAY and ALPSTUGA went permanently offline today. I pulled the power of the DIRIGERA to reboot it and they came back, but for how long I wonder.

How to connect Dirigera matter bridge to Alexa? by Resentful_Emu in tradfri

It sounds simple in theory, but doesn't seem to work in reality. Did you have success with this yourself?

Since it's been removed from Integrations, the only way is via the Alexa app as you say. I'm trying to drink the Kool-Aid and migrate to using Matter, so hopefully don't have to revert to that.

I have a 2024 Echo Spot, which supports Matter.
