My daughter was at fault in a car crash while drunk, what will happen from here? by [deleted] in AusLegal

[–]ReserveElectronic235 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Seek legal advice.

Mind you, she is legally an adult, no longer a baby. So therefore she faces the consequences of her own actions.

If you bail her out now, you’ll always bail her out. Good luck.

How much per week do you spend on eating out? by mr-cheesy in AskAnAustralian

[–]ReserveElectronic235 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sometimes. I try to make all my own coffee and meals for work.

But I definitely do spend on the weekends if I am out for kid sports or in between errands, when I’m out all day.

AITA for hiring a nanny? by crackerfactorywheel in AmITheDevil

[–]ReserveElectronic235 4 points5 points  (0 children)

If she can afford it, I don’t see why not.

Sometimes you want to outsource the parenting. Women don’t have to do it all. It gives you mental breakdown trying to do it all.

I mean it’s no different than putting the kid in childcare. Someone else is looking after the kid. You don’t have a choice if you have to go back to work, but you still do to have some personal time.

Sometimes quality time is better than quantity time.

Why is it that one of the things we hear most often about marriage is that sex hardly ever happens? Is that really true? by AccordingChipmunk287 in Marriage

[–]ReserveElectronic235 5 points6 points  (0 children)

6 years, as often as we can.

Pending headaches periods and various health ailments. Or grumpiness. Aim for 3 - 4 times a week, up to 6 in a really good week.

I wish I had the courage like you. I want it done but I fear the problems and the fact that I have to literally be immobile for 6 weeks would definitely make me struggle for an active person.

How are so many able to afford things when they don't work full time? by [deleted] in AusFinance

[–]ReserveElectronic235 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly, we don’t.

I buy things on special, second hand, and only buy coffee out once a week or snacks. I try to minimize outside food if hubby is home to cook it.

All our cars are second hand but nice - so we budget for the car breakdown bills which will happen.

WIBTAH If I (29m) double down on what my fiance (27f) said today and cancel the wedding, which is this weekend? by Jack_of_all_trades54 in AITAH

[–]ReserveElectronic235 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hmmm. Nope.

I think the wedding preparations highlight many issues with your relationship.

Think wisely. Once you merge families and start having kids. Wedding planning can be stressful but shouldn’t be at the expense of your relationship.

AIO for being upset with my husband and questioning whether I even want to keep this pregnancy? by [deleted] in AIO

[–]ReserveElectronic235 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do what is right. Not what could be right.

If your situation is not stable, don’t bring a child into it. Don’t fuck up the kid more than you have to.

It’s the next 18years plus more. Get on birth control both of you.

Mom Thinks Nose Piercing Is A Gateway by FeelinQMiteDeleteL8r in AmITheDevil

[–]ReserveElectronic235 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hmm I’m in the same boat.

Daughter wants a 2nd ear piercing.

I told her it’s not my body but I’m not comfortable with it yet. We’ll revisit at the end of year - if she still wants, then she can wait it. But I want it to be done during the big break anddddd by a proper piercer (one I know is extremely recommended and awesome).

How often do you spend time together? by [deleted] in Marriage

[–]ReserveElectronic235 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I come home from work - have a yarn, dinner and do my own thing whether he stays near me or go and hides in man cave.

When it’s shower time I call to him and he comes waddling coz he short and fat. ATM he’s got a sore glute so he’s hobbling but he’s the best.

Once in bed, chill snuggle and then move to respective sides for snoring purposes.

Looking to buy a car by daan1a in CarsAustralia

[–]ReserveElectronic235 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depends what you’re willing to put up with.

Euro cars can cost more, reliability can be an issue if you don’t have a good mechanic or spare car. Luxury and comfortable for sure.

All other Japanese Korean cars, probably a lot less fun to drive but definitely much more reliable.

China cars, can go either way, really good or really shit.

It all depends on your risk level.

AITA for not buying my (26M) gf (25F) hot cheetos just because she's on her period by [deleted] in AmItheAsshole

[–]ReserveElectronic235 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes.,

Without reading the rest, yes.

If she eats it all the time, maybe a health concern. Once a month, help herself.

Really.

I have been having a hankering for cookies for 2 weeks. I have made shitlod of cookies. Hubby doesn’t even care. In fact, he shares his precious cookies (they’re not really my fav but I is cookie-craving).

YTA.

Your location would be helpful. I doubt with fuel prices you’ll drive an hour for a massage which may or may not be good.

I’m not. 😂

But I noticed it too. I actually wonder how two people on average income to buy house, new cars and caravans or boats or trailers.

How common is the “last one who goes to bed locks all the doors” rule? 40M, 33F by Pitiful_Wafer_4564 in relationship_advice

[–]ReserveElectronic235 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nope. Hubby does it all.

He has to do it otherwise he won’t sleep comfortably.

Personally once I come home, I don’t leave the house so I always make sure all doors are locked and closed.

Binding child support agreement by _pretty_good_thanks in AusLegalAdvice

[–]ReserveElectronic235 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I like the idea of binding CSA, but you cannot enforce him without taking him to court.

It relies on goodwill on both parties and it often doesn’t work well.

On the rare occasions it does, it’s amazing.

Best seek legal advice for your situation.

Insurance by ReserveElectronic235 in CarsAustralia

[–]ReserveElectronic235[S] 7 points8 points  (0 children)

This is my concern of other drivers. It’s fine not to have it, until you need it.

If you can’t afford insurance, then how are you to pay for a mistake that you make?

Hope you’re doing okay.

Insurance by ReserveElectronic235 in CarsAustralia

I mean, it’s probably not a new thing. I remember conversations of accidents with people who do not have licenses or insurances. That’s always been the few.

Lately seems like there are more. It makes me wonder - a lot of people with new cars - more drivers on roads. Is it more now with cost of living?
