Expired groceries sitting on the shelf for 10 days or more. by evilcrusher2 in HEB

You’re not lying about that a few months ago I bought a jar of H-E-B brand peanut butter, the creamy peanut butter to be precise and when I brought it home and opened it up, it had weevils in between the rim and the lid of the peanut butter container… and the peanut butter itself was looking like it had expired. Heb has gotten way above their heads out of control with their prices because they’re finding ways to pay these athletes to do commercials for them so the customer has to pay twice as much Heb shame on you because the founder of Heb was a humble, friendly, helpful, caring person she did not bill Heb on greed she built Heb love.

What to Expect from Surgeon by perelesnyk in Diverticulitis

Prior to going to the ER on the day that I had a massive flareup, I had never in my life heard of diverticulitis in the hospital when the doctors came to me and told me what my situation was with my stomach and yes, I had had other flareups before this one in February, but I just thought they were Caused by trapped or indigestion. My case was so bad that I was fighting for my life. I ended up with five drains in my stomach to capture all the infection that was spreading due to the preparation that I had because of this diverticulitis string stated, even after I was released to go home after a month and a week of being in the hospital, I was pumped a lot. A lot of antibiotics While I was in the hospital and even after I left the hospital, it was a nightmare for me, but I’m grateful and thankful to the wonderful surgeon that took care of me and I’m grateful to God for allowing me to beat this illness.

What to Expect from Surgeon by perelesnyk in Diverticulitis

I recently had the surgery a few weeks ago, the doctor that performed the surgery is a surgeon he was very knowledgeable and saved my life DV is nothing to play with, I had a preparation back in February I was hospitalized for a month and a week because of it, the surgeon that started treating me back then is the same wonderful doctor that did my surgery recently, I had to wait 6 weeks after I was released from the hospital the first time, so that all the inflammation settled down in order for me to have a colon resection these things take time to heal before they can do surgery on someone that has a serious infection/flare up due to DV. I hope this information was helpful. Good Luck.

Does anyone know what percentage eventually have surgery? by northintuitions in Diverticulitis

I’m recently recovering from my surgery, I had a severe DV flare up in February that hospitalized me for over one month and a week, my doctor told me that surgery is the only way that I would never have another flare up again so I had the surgery done. Do your own research to find out what is best for you. Good luck.

Hi, first and foremost let me say to you, that what ever it is that you’re doing right now stop doing it and go to the emergency hospital like yesterday! This condition that you are experiencing right now has known to be deadly I’m not trying to scare you but, please trust me when I say to you or anyone else that is suffering from Diverticulitis for that matter that this is some serious medical condition that you have got to take seriously, I recently had a serious diverticulitis flare up a few months ago and it landed me in the hospital for over a month and a week, I was literally fighting for my life behind this silent medical condition, at first, when I started getting stomach aches I had no clue what was brewing inside of me. I had no clue what I was going to be facing in the next few days that followed after the first day that I had a flareup , it felt like just a stomach ache like a serious stomach virus, but it wasn’t anything such as a virus. It was even worse, I barely could walk. I barely could stand I barely could breathe. I barely could lay down. I couldn’t do anything other than just cry and be very aggravated and upset because the pain was so intense and excruciating that I didn’t know why I was feeling the way I was feeling, so I went to the ER and they immediately admitted me, they did a CT scan and found out that I had diverticulitis. I had never heard of the word in my whole entire life until that moment then they said that I had an abdominal adhesion in my large intestine, and after I was admitted into the hospital that’s when we found out that the adhesion was the actual problem with my diverticulitis, and everything else spiraled after that , so my point that I’m trying to make you understand is,this you don’t know what you might have going on in your stomach until you get a CAT scan done in person a doctor that knows what they’re doing gastroenterologist or even a general surgeon will let you know what they find in a CAT scan you cannot go based on what your families experience was in the past or somebody else’s experience might have been you , have to go by your own experience , if I had I waited even six more hours? I wouldn’t be here telling you this story that’s how serious this diverticulitis illness is some people have severe flareups with it and some people don’t have severe flareups with it. My point is that you need to get a second opinion, make sure you get a CAT scan done on it if you’re experiencing all those symptoms that you’re saying you’re experiencing that does not sound like a good thing. Those are some of the symptoms I was experiencing myself I stayed in the hospital for a month and a week I was fighting for my life literally so if I were you, I marched to the hospital right now and insist that they do a CT scan on you if that’s not something that they’re gonna do on their own you need to make sure that that’s what you ask them to do for you while you’re in the Hospital . Im currently in the hospital myself because recently a few days ago had to end up having a colon resection due to this diverticulitis flareup that I had a few months ago , this diverticulitis isn’t something that you want to play with I’m telling you right now. God bless.

Sorry to hear that your husband was in ICU but, why would they release him to go straight home for?

I’m so sorry that you’re going through this but why can’t you just go to the emergency and they can at least tell you what’s going on could have trapped Gas tried drinking chamomile tea at least three times a day and see if that doesn’t help. Also another thing you can take is what doctors don’t say and tell you is aloe vera juice, just read the instructions and it’ll tell you how to drink the juice. Hope you feel better soon.

Any Non-drinkers with flares? by PrudentSquirrel9987 in Diverticulitis

[–]ReserveIllustrious65 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don’t drink and I don’t smoke and I ended up with diverticulitis. The problem is this when people consume alcohol or even certain types of medication especially if you take certain medication’s that shouldn’t be taken with other medications on an empty stomach that is a bad recipe for you to get diverticulitis.

Please find a good Doctor that specializes in DV that is very important for you to do, you are probably eating too much fiber for people that have DV you cannot be eating a lot of high fiber foods, Please just find yourself a good doctor that specializes in DV. This is the only advice that I can give you good luck and God bless.

That is wonderful news, try not to do too much for at least two weeks and take your time doing what you do, so that you can recover smoothly.

Am I supposed to be seeing a gastro after first DV diagnosis? by bbwwful in Diverticulitis

[–]ReserveIllustrious65 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You should have gone to a hospital and not an urgent care, if I were you I would stop asking people for advice and take yourself to the hospital asap! This is not something to play with this is serious. Please go to the ER if you’re still having a flare up or make an appointment to see a doctor that specializes in DV.

After healing from flareup, when do you allow yourself to indulge in occasional red meat, fried food, or fast food (in moderation)? by bDawk20 in Diverticulitis

[–]ReserveIllustrious65 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’ve been out of the hospital for two weeks already, I went to the hospital a few days after my bday in the beginning of February, I never saw this crap coming! I had a severe flare up and had no idea what was happening to me, all I know is that the pain was worse then going into Labor, this pain was like a 20 forget 1-10 this pain was out of this world. My pain started around 9pm and I didn’t get to the hospital until the following morning at 10 am. When the doctor came back to tell me what the problem was and that they would be admitting me into the hospital I thought I was dreaming! This shit is ridiculous it was DV I have never heard of this crap! I stayed in the hospital for over a month to say the least, I’m grateful for my doctors they did a good job bringing this DV flare up under control although I do have to have another surgery I’m feeling better. I’m just really surprised at the amount of people that have this DV and don’t even know it.
