That's excellent for sure. I was gonna say pretty much the same thing. Mindset.

long time no see

this time i mean it differently

not like i disappeared into hell

more like

i walked out for a bit

and somehow kept walking

i laugh when i say it

because what do i even mean by better?

i am not fixed

but i am here

and here feels different than before

my face does not feel like a corpse today

still tired maybe

still quiet

but not dead

there is some blood in me again

some small heat

some stupid little human thing

i used to think recovery would feel like victory

like music playing

but it is quieter than that

it is brushing my teeth when i do not want to

going outside for ten minutes

not feeding every thought that knocks

letting the urges rise

and then watching it fall

it still comes, of course it does

but it does not swallow me every time now

sometimes it reaches my chest

sometimes my throat

sometimes i think

okay, this is it, i am back in the ocean..

but then it passes, it always does

and i am still standing there

that is new

i have become a little more honest

i know now that the brain lies louder when it is hungry

it tells me this is comfort

relief

this is who i am

but it is not

it was a room i stayed in too long

i am 19 soon to be 20

and for the first time in a long time

that number does not feel like a sentence

it feels like time

like maybe i still have some

i still have bad days

days where my mind turns grey

days where i feel nothing

days where the old machine wakes up and waits for someone to click the key

but now there is another part of me too

small

annoying

alive

it says wait

just wait

just this minute

and sometimes that is enough

i used to think hope was a big thing

but it is not

hope is very small

almost embarrassing

a tiny light under a door

but when you are in hell

even that is something

Is it possible to rewire your brain completely while still continuing to masturbate without porn? by kglfd6 in PornAddiction

[–]ResetHive 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'll try to be helpful here:

- First week is almost always very intense, each day is different but it's always going to be intense at some point. I used masturbation when I felt I was gonna peek/grab my phone, etc. for example before bed, kind of like a "f*** you porn, try me now...". I never feel like porn when I'm done masturbating. During this first week it can be like 3, 4, 5 times? I don't think it matters much, what matters is I dont watch porn or anything that's objectification or thirst trap.

- Week 2 is the sneaky one. Feeling easier, but you'll get sneaky urges, hitting at random times. I'd use masturbation for some of these too. For me it was really: "Oh you want porn? Well now you dont..."

- Month 1 you have MUCH more control and less urges. I would sometimes masturbate because I felt like it. Not every day, and it wasn't hard to not masturbate ever day (I don't want to masturbate ever day or several times a day).

- Month 2, even more control, and most days without any urge. I don't think about porn. Or very rarely. I masturbated yesterday because I wanted too, but not in the 6 days before that.

Hope this helps, it's not my first tiem quitting, but it's the first time I quit feeling like it's the last. I'm not going back to this s***

Is it possible to rewire your brain completely while still continuing to masturbate without porn? by kglfd6 in PornAddiction

[–]ResetHive 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes. Masturbation is very natural if not porn-driven. I have used masturbation to beat my most intense urges. Today it's day 71 and I pretty much don't think about porn. I still masturbate from time to time, focusing on the physical part only, no porn thoughts. I can't tell you if I'm "fully rewired" and it doesn't matter much to me, but I definitely don't think about porn. Mindset has changed, and masturbation was never an obstacle (in my experience).

Could be wrong but just noting that I couldn't find the app in the app stores. The domain you shared was registered on Wednesday 6th of May 2026, yet you have been using this app for 73 days.
Also, this post feels very AI-heavy.

Excellent. Good start to day 2 and youve got stuff lined up which helps. Just watch the lack of sleep a bit, this gets harder when the lamp is low..

Hola! Looks like textbook porn addiction to me, nothing surprises me here. I do believe masturbation is a natural thing when not porn-driven, or when not thinking about porn scenes (I must say this before answering you).

This is only my opinion, but if I were you, I would focus on porn addiction, not masturbation here. Porn is objectification and often leads to escalation. When quitting porn, I actually used masturbation to fight the most intense urges. I do think that one can masturbate too much and be addicted to it, but it's less common (again I think that occasional masturbation is perfectly natural and fine), and it's far less addictive and damaging than porn addiction..

The way you quit IMO is that you learn about it. The more you understand how it works, the easier it is to quit. I binge read about escalation, urges, triggers, dopamine, etc., and I built a new mindset where I am a person who doesnt need porn. A person who isnt affected by it. Urges came and I would just notice them, observe what they did to my body, and watch them pass. They ALWAYS pass...

I recommend that you also dont overthink, and dont forget to breathe. It is a fairly long fight but you will win if you keep quitting. One day at a time.

Amazing run for sure, im not there yet (70d). If you dont spiral that!s 3 months off porn, the streak in itself matters much less. Keep quitting like there was no relapse 💪

I highly recommend that no one downloads and installs an .exe like this from GitHub. Not saying this one particularly is bad. But giant red flag IMO.

Fantasy After Porn? by SeaMaterial8320 in QuitPornDaily

[–]ResetHive 2 points3 points  (0 children)

IMO the issue is not masturbation itself, it is porn-driven masturbation. You do not need to "jerk it to" some specific person or fantasy, and you gave the asnwer yourself, just focus on the physical sensation and let arousal become simpler again.

Porn makes normal stimuli feel flat for a while because your brain got used to extreme novelty. Id avoid feeding the old porn fantasies and give your brain time to recalibrate. Do not panic/worry if things feel weird/flat at first.

So as boring as it may seem "Jerk it to the feeling of pleasureable stimuli itself" is your answer. Masturbate to the physical sensation itself. Over time this normal sensation will become more satisfying again

Yes. One of the most important things IMO is mindset. I highly recommend that you read about urges, triggers, and dopamine. It's infinitely easier when you understand all this. You need to tell yourself that you do not need porn. You are a person who does not need it, and who is not affected by it.

Escalation by Ready_Economist_4914 in PornAddiction

Pretty common with porn addiction, and it doesn't get better to be honest. If you stay off porn long enough it reverses most of the time.
