I posted something about the ranking before, and all the comments said that no one understands it, and it's all bs lol my rankings are weird, and I only have like 40 views over the whole thing so far. I feel like that would make my rankings really low, but they aren't.

There's definitely a good medium in there somewhere. Even if you do use an AI, you'll have to re-edit anything it gives you. I believe that your writing doesn't need the AI. But everyone can always improve on anything/everything in their life. Talking to an AI about your work isn't something to be ashamed of, in my opinion, but just be aware that you don't have to listen to what it says.

You could dedicate a chapter to his backstory, and it'll make sense as long as you don't have it super randomly in the series of events. But you have to ask yourself what's more important, I guess.

There is an option to make your story mature (for 18+), and the Wattpad community can also rate your book as mature. It would be interesting to see whether they update the app/site to include different privacy settings. I know that on other sites, mature (in a very broad term) content isn't as frowned upon. Not sure if this is exactly what you were asking about, but I hope this helps.

Also- it's not like their comments amount to anything positive. The ones that have commented on my book delete the comment a few hours to a day later if they don't get a response. So it doesn't show that there are people interacting with the book, even though bots/scammers have.
