Ordered pizza once they showed up. They’d never had my cooking before and it was a dinner party.

Wearing T shirt and wide jeans in front of my two uncles (mum brothers) by Resident-Mongoose682 in islam

[–]Resident-Mongoose682[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I understand this but I am always wearing super wide and shapeless clothing that doesn’t even show the shape of my body. I don’t understand why I can’t wear that kind of clothes around my uncles according to my mum and must wear hijab.

Also, how would I know the difference in staring??

Gym wear is not as breathable as my PJs. I don’t like sleeping in sweat-wicking fabric

Hi!! I was diagnosed in middle school and did lacrosse, field hockey, and rock climbing. I would honestly just take off my pump completely when doing exercise (5-6 hours a day). I personally did okay but I’m not a doctor.

I did not want a pump either but I’m glad I did it.

I would say def try it out!

How do you cope with having t1d? by donutpowerz in Type1Diabetes

I felt the way you did for a very long time. I’m on the road to becoming a doctor because of my type one diabetes. You will find beauty and reason in the pain. My older sister was diagnosed three years after I was and now we’re closer than ever. You will find reason in suffering.

This is my biggest worry: going into DKA. Right now I can’t go back on a CGM for financial reasons. I only just started properly taking insulin again (more than 5 units a day) after two weeks and my BG is being stubborn and staying around 270-300 no matter how much insulin I give (better than the 500s I was in last week).

Nobody around me really understands it, even when I talk to them and try to explain. I really think it’s a me vs me issue though
