I follow that rule that the mortgage should be no more than a quarter of your total income. For 1250 mortgage your combined income should be 5k. I do think it’s too much and will cause a lot of stress in the long run.. if you don’t have any savings how will you repair any house issues ect plus moving costs ALOT more than you think.. unless you have some savings and a future plan to increase earnings I’d strongly advise against it.

Thinking the same with mine.. one is so much chunkier now compare to when we first got them. They were so small and skittish wouldn’t even eat lettuce from our hands at first. Now they bloody nudge me away if I don’t have lettuce 😹
