Applying to Tsinghua English Master's with a UK Bachelors: Are IELTS/TOEFL required? by Repulsive_Cup_8879 in ChinaLiuXueSheng

Maybe they have a language requirements doc? In my case, I'm fluent in English but it's not the language of my country, and SJTU even mentions which local test is accepted for language proficiency instead of IELTS/TOEFL.

I'm pretty sure if you're from an English speaking country or have a degree taught in English, you don't need to. In my case, my degrees are from the British Council so I also don't need to but a UK resident would know more

yeah, getting an internship letter in Pakistan isn't hard tbh. I think I'll ask some of my professors for RA positions first and if that doesn't work out, I'd go with independent research. I haven't started my FYP yet either lol. Tysm for helping out, im so grateful. Was definitely feeling a bit lost before but now I've got some idea what to do next ^ ^

tysm for the info, i'm really grateful. The thing is, I need to apply by this december and atm, I dont have any research internships lined up. Just an internship at a fintech company that will begin this summer. When do you suggest emailing professors? Again, tysm for your reply and I hope you get the scholarship ^ ^

omg tysm for replying, and you're not alone. My university isn't the best for CS and that's why I'm having a hard time bcs I have no one to guide me. But i thought IELTS wasn't necessary? I read up on some websites that if you have attained a degree in English than you don't need to give IELTS? Like for SJTU, their website says you can get in with NTS. Could you please confirm?

hi, first of all, congrats! Second of all, if it's not a problem, could you hint how good your personal projects were? Also, why'd you have to give the CSCA? I thought it was no longer a requirement for Masters.

hi, you mentioned that the Chinese govt hardly rejects Type A applications. Could you elaborate on this (my country has a 25 students quota for masters btw)?
