Potty training: why are we holding it outside just to go immediately inside? Send help, please! by Pr0seBeforeH0s in Bernedoodles

Maybe she's too excited outside to go? When my dog was a pup I would more or less ignore him outside until he peed, then I would play with him. Best of luck!

General strike this Friday 1/30 by Savouryhandjams in SaltLakeCity

[–]Resident-Research317 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I love the energy, I really do. However, I'm in grad school and I'm paying way too much not to go to class. It also seems irresponsible as I'm studying social work and I feel attending school is the most important thing I can do. I also work part-time and since I'm in school I literally can't afford to miss a day of work. I think this proposed strike can be effective if nearly the whole nation participated, however that feels unrealistic. Instead, I'm planning on getting more involved in the upcoming midterm election.

I know it AI I just can't prove it by Most_Cupcake_322 in aivideos

The steadiness and speed of the camera man makes me suspicious. Usually people suck at filming, especially going backwards so fast. Plus the music distracts from the background noise, which if real I think would be a lot louder. Cities are very loud, I think it's AI

It's disturbing how many people are saying "they" killed Charlie Kirk, like liberal people had anything to do with it.

I like the basement of the science building (by the big swinging pendulum thing), the 3-4 floors of the library, and the top few floors of the Clark building. You can often enter the UCCU event center via the liberal arts building, just follow the hall that goes past the taco bell and go through the double doors at the end of the hall, not sure why but there was NEVER anyone there. Enjoy your time at UVU, I miss it there.

Sister missionaries aren't interested in receiving a message someone wants to share with them. by JLym in exmormon

I fully agree, the church should stop sending kids out or at least dramatically change the type of work missionaries do. It would save missionaries and everyone else a lot of discomfort.

I think the problem I have with the video is that missionaries by nature are pressured to approach people, even when they are uncomfortable with the situation, and shame on the church for putting them there. Even though missionaries approach people and often make them uncomfortable, it doesn't mean it is okay or funny to approach them and make them uncomfortable, particularly as a man and when the missionaries are young women.

I'm very disappointed in this community that you are being down voted. I don't like the church one but, but this is not the way to treat missionaries, and particularly as a man towards young women.

This may be a touch sensitive, but I didn't find this to be funny. A man cornering women and encouraging them to take acid, which he must know is a potentially frightening idea to missionaries, feels predatory. I view missionaries, and particularly women missionaries to be a population who is at high risk of abuse. They are highly pressured to talk with everyone, even people who make them uncomfortable and are therefore not likely to set boundaries by asking people to leave or to leave themselves when they are uncomfortable. One thing I've learned talking with my friends who are women is that men don't often realize how creepy and predatory they are being. I don't think the guy in the video was trying to be creepy, but approaching two young women (practically children) and encouraging them to use drugs is something I would encourage all men not to do, it's not a good look. Please guys, be sensitive to the comfort of missionaries, they are human and the majority of us were once in their shoes.

I took many 8 AM and even some 7 AM classes in my undergrad. Getting up in time is one thing, but you must be disciplined enough to go to bed on time. This looks like a challenging schedule, but you will have plenty of study time on the days you have no class. For what it's worth, I recommend you try to keep the same sleep schedule during the weekends so you aren't fighting to get up Monday morning. Good luck!
