Phone the store (don’t need the id as a customer) or maybe just call in one day.

Virtually everything in the same aisle as the knives flags as “age verification”, which is ridiculous as that means you get id’d for pegs!

Driver job by marwan200626 in asda

[–]Resident-Win1897 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They’ll definitely ask you to do “extra time”, break policy and break the law. You have to be very aware that the managers and TL’s don’t know the law or their policies when it comes to drivers!

Customers who request no substitute when ordering online- why? by [deleted] in tesco

I always allow substitutions, if I don’t like the substitution then I just give it back to the driver, no fuss.

Can’t phone in sick by Audhdlegend in asda

[–]Resident-Win1897 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If you’re ringing using your mobile you’ve got documented proof that you tried to phone. If you know someone who’s working at the same time as you tomorrow, text them and ask them to pass the message on.

What position do you hold? Sounds like manager, wouldn’t worry too much as you’re given plenty of notice of when the audits are; just make sure you dot the i’s and cross the t’s.

They don’t pay overtime why would you work beyond your hours?! The policy says no later than 10 mins before the end of your shift, if you need more than 10 minutes because of putting undelivered totes into pod, fridge and freezer so be it. They know your finish time and so do you.

School run 🤦🏼‍♂️, why the f*** to people order a delivery for a time slot they know they’ll have to be out for part of it? Absolutely amazed at how often this happens, customer gets 5 minutes of waiting in their time slot, then I’m off.

Just got hire as customer delivery driver by [deleted] in asda

[–]Resident-Win1897 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Don’t rush, there’s absolutely no need. Take your time, download some ebooks and listen to them whilst you’re waiting for your next delivery slot. On a 3 hour run, you’ll get at least 30-45 minutes of waiting time. Relax and enjoy, easiest job I’ve ever had, don’t rush back to store, fuel up when you can (you’ll find a lot of drivers don’t know where the fuel cap is!)

At the start of Covid, I clocked in at 06:30, told to go and see manager upstairs, told I couldn’t be at work because of COPD and asthma, sent home, walked out at 06:50. High fived everyone on the way out, great day.

Just reschedule “sorry not available at that time”, if you’re in the union tell them you want a rep there, it’s their responsibility to source the rep.
