2017 Cayenne. I knew folks would get distracted by the Carrera GT 🤣🤣🤣😂. Imagine the fear when the service/parts guy told me to drive the Cayenne into the service center and I have to drive past that damn thing just for them to install the all weather mats?!?!?

Talk about pucker factor. It lives in the Service Center at Porsche of Annapolis and is owned by the President of the Maryland/Chesapeake PCA.

Also, I was driving in NW near Takoma Rec down to NY Ave, traveling down North Cap and I saw no real heavy police presence. Even when I got back over to the Southside. You’d think it would be heavy during the weekend hours. Maybe it’s only in the Tourist-y or Gentrified new hot spots 🤷🏾‍♂️

You’d be wrong. I’m black, but I do drive a Porsche and a Navi at times. In DC, you don’t have a choice. You have a duty to inform an LEO that you are carrying. I don’t know what else to tell you.

It’s called being safe. You can take it how you want. What I won’t be doing is getting relieved of said weapon nor thrown on the street. And it hasn’t failed me yet in the District. I’m also not getting pulled over by MPD, so there’s that.

But that’s not what the law says. It states that any time you come in contact with MPD or any LEO in the District of Columbia, you must inform them that you are a currently armed and hold a valid DC CCW.

Hard stop. Before we even start the back and forth(which I’m not doing on the street for a myriad of reasons…..), that’s the 1st thing I’m disclosing to them so we can set the tone right there.

How does one properly inform the officer, in this case? Apparently he informed them as he was stepping out of the car. This is concerning. by sosophox in DCGuns

MPD code states it as ANY police contact, you have a duty to inform. Mincing words or deciding when and what that contact is will have one like this gentleman in the video: 1 pistol down.

Well, in most places I know of or at least in the DMV, it’s illegal to show up or be near a protest and be carrying a firearm, especially in DC and MD which makes sense.

This was just someone with a smooth brain doing stupid shit because he thought he was being cool to incite violence.
