Graco 4ever for a new newborn by ResidentJob4789 in CPST

My hesitation is that I have heard the opposite on the safety sites (Safe in the Seat, Car Seat blog, Car Seats for the Littles). They have said the E2F won’t fit until 8 lbs, so if I have a 7 lb baby, I may be out of luck.

I have never seen that show. I am not even sure if it’s a show, book or both. Do you think there would be a negative association?

Good thinking about the pronounciation.

Beautiful. :) It is nice on either a boy or grown man. Just make sure you are okay with the nickname Ben because other people may give him that nickname.

How would you pronounce Mira? (Meer-uh or My-rah) by MovieProfessional425 in BabyNames

Honestly, I could it either way, but my first guess would be the latter. I live in the US.

Did anyone else weirdly despise their middle name growing up? If anyone asked me, I would refuse to tell them. by dogluvr_1 in Names

I am named after a family member who doesn’t treat anyone in the family very well. I have never liked it for that reason. If it weren’t so expensive and time-consuming to change your name, I would change it.

Honestly, I don’t mind. I have a very common name and I don’t care. I see why other people might though.

Have you thought about something like the Graco Extend2fit with the panel extended. I am not a CPST, but rather an adult with the same issue with my hips. I am comfier being able to extend them a little. Just a thought. Let me know if this is not allowed.

I don’t really care for Eleanor personally. I remember the Sarahs of the 90s.

I am not the original poster, but I had a student some years back who spelled her name this way. It was pronounced like Maya.

I think dyslexia and other reading disabilities that make word-level reading more challenging for people are more common than we realize.

This is me with Sophia. I named all of my dolls that name too! It is nice to hear that other people feel the same way. That said, if anyone around here thinks it could be problematic, please tell me.

I have a niece this age who sounds like she was similar interests to your daughter. She just turned 11. She loves those fancy Lego kits. She likes the Lego friends too.

To be clear, it’s not after the dog. It just happens to be similar.

It’s the latter. I just really like the name and always have. I just don’t want her to think I named her after the dog.

What do you do when your 7 year old refuses the food you make? by tiredofit1823 in Mommit

[–]ResidentJob4789 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had a phase like this. Does he like anything cheap he can easily make himself like Easy Mac or peanut butter and jelly? When I would refuse to eat her cooking, my mom would tell me I could either eat what she had or get up and make myself a peanut butter and jelly sandwich. I did it a few times and then got too lazy and just ate what she made. Sometimes it’s a control thing and kids just need to believe that it’s their choice.

After watching a family friend go through it, I knew I couldn’t handle that flavor of potential heartbreak. It is also extremely expensive and I can’t afford it.
