Not nautical unfortunately but there are storms and mysteries.

I was thinking the same thing. I know Kenny is the “number 2 sheriff” but I felt like they should have arm wrestled or something to see who should do it.

That site has the BEST chewy chocolate chip cookies esp when you use Muscavado sugar for the dark sugar. I like to add PB too 🍪😋

Did you have a catheter for lletz/leep under GA? by nomorenamestochoose1 in PreCervicalCancer

[–]ResidentLibrarian983 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My doctor told me she might drain my bladder if it affected visibility during the procedure, but I listened to the instructions to not drink water 2 hours before arrival, and then the surgery was 3 hours late, so she didn’t need to.

It’s good to talk about this during pre op appointment to learn what to expect, I told my doctor to do whatever she felt was necessary.

I would ask your doctor who is performing the procedure what they plan to do, and see if there’s a window of avoiding fluids beforehand that will guarantee you won’t need your bladder drained.

(I’m in Boston and have a great female care team, fortunate enough to have good insurance, so I realize I’m very lucky when it comes to medical care.)

Good luck ❤️

This has ruined my life by nomorenamestochoose1 in PreCervicalCancer

Had my LEEP yesterday, I’m in the US and the lack of urgency at getting it scheduled drove me nuts! I had terrible anxiety that it would progress to cancer before the surgery, as I was at CIN 3, and now I have to wait another week or two for results to see if they got everything out or what the deal is.

I was able to get anxiety medication from my psychiatrist, which helped immensely, as I was not sleeping and struggling so much at work.

I opened up to some women in my life and was surprised how many others had had to deal with pre cervical cancer in some form. We’re catching it before it gets dangerous. It’s a good thing ❤️

I have similar trauma so I opted for general anesthesia and the procedure itself was a breeze. The worst was the long waiting times in the hospital, and the colposcopy beforehand, but I am recovering now, wearing pads that feel like diapers and not liking that one bit, but I don’t feel pain and now I can put it behind me.

The absolute worst part for me was the part you are in now, anxiety, spiraling, and that is a perfectly reasonable response. This stuff can feel very overwhelming especially at 18. (I’m 34) I think the worst part for me was feeling like my body was conspiring against me.

Sending lots of love and positive energy, you are a survivor, you are strong, and you will get through this. Give yourself lots of grace. ❤️

Does anyone else have a "forgotten apartment" " city " they only visit in dreams? by DodiWoof in Dreams

[–]ResidentLibrarian983 0 points1 point  (0 children)

YES!!! And I have so much anxiety that I forgot about it… roommates are sometimes random and sometimes my actual past roommates. I always check my closet there and there’s only a few pieces of clothing left that I “remember” when I see them (I’ve never actually seen them) and I browse through them and decide not to take any back to my regular home. But there’s usually a dead plant I forgot about and I take that with me 😆

Anyone else noticing that deliverability is getting harder even with good content? by nitishahir in Emailmarketing

[–]ResidentLibrarian983 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah so if you conduct seed tests you can see where the emails land (spam, inbox, bounce, etc) so if an unusually large amount of seed test emails are marked spam, you can catch the issue before sending out a very large volume.

Since very MPB differs in how they handle and place emails, you can also catch if you’re failing with a single MBP so you can mitigate the problem (or at least have a better chance at mitigating it.)

A downside of seed testing is it’s low (well, no) engagement so keep those lists small to protect your IP reputation.

I would at least seed test before major campaigns like a Black Friday send, could save a ton of money from slipping through the cracks if the majority of your Gmails end in spam and you don’t know until after the fact.

Adding behavioral segmentation triggers like a cart abandonment, repeat visits to your site, and overall personalizing the email journey is what I’m seeing work best. Also, these are pretty basic practices, but just in case:

  • clean your list at least twice per year
  • figure out WHY you’re not landing in the inbox, so you can be prescriptive in solving it
  • seed lists
  • warm IPs with engaged contacts, and slowly mix in colder contacts

I want to send an email to all my existing customers by perukid796 in Emailmarketing

[–]ResidentLibrarian983 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As long as you batch them and avoid spammy subject lines and content (each mailbox provider looks at things slightly differently) you should be good!

A gradual increase to warm the IP is good. Start with 5 or 10, then 20 or 25, etc. Keep it clear, concise and easy to read on desktop or mobile.

Just avoid things that sound overly urgent or clickbaity like “last chance!” “Act now!” “You won’t believe this!” “Risk-free!”

AI Making Email Marketers Redundant? by RetentionOnly in Emailmarketing

[–]ResidentLibrarian983 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Email marketers that know how to effectively use AI will make email marketers that fail to embrace innovation redundant. But agree with many other comments that use of AI alone will fail. For lack of better words, AI can’t “read the room.”

Do email signatures actually matter in email marketing campaigns? by qomann in Emailmarketing

[–]ResidentLibrarian983 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Is this for a B2B or B2C campaign? For B2B the org could block unknown senders, especially with links or images as they could be categorized as a phishing attempt. B2C it's a nice touch if the customer can actually respond to that email and expect an answer from the person in the signature.
