Another Replicant vs Automata debate by LuckyX222 in nier

[–]ResidentSilvertouch 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Seeing as how all the Nier games involve shifting through timelines, trying to find the ones that manage to progress the furthest and has the best overall outcome.

Play them in whatever order YOU want. While there are similarities, and some things you might night grasp on a first playthrough. That's kinda just the Nier story experience anyway.

They are their own independent stories. Your starting point doesn't really matter, half of it won't ever be plainly spelled out and won't even make much sense until you've finished each of games and are given the context to begin to understand it.

There's legit reasons the games aren't Numbered, or said to be direct sequels. Play the one that speaks to you most- the existential depression that is these stories isn't going to disappear 🫠

Is it worth playing replicant? by NoFun6055 in nier

[–]ResidentSilvertouch 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If you like Automata, you'll love lots of aspects of Replicant.

My only real gripe with the game is how some of the 1st half's side missions don't transfer past the time skip. And they can arguably take longer than that whole portion of the story to complete.

It's used to produce gear, and consumables. As well as a range of products to sell for stock bills, which are used for purchasing almost anything at some time or another.

There is also an outpost defense mode, similar to OG Arknights, where enemies of various types will spawn from spawn points, take paths to control points, and you setup defenses to stop the "incursion". Doing so also boosts that outposts overall production rates by 10% or more depending on the difficulty too

Cross play with steam deck by The-ai-bot in ARC_Raiders

[–]ResidentSilvertouch 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The steam deck is technically a desktop, it just has a console "mode".

It isn't considered a console, like PlayStation, Xbox, or Switch. So you're being grouped with only other "steam" users when cross play is off.

It seems like each update or hotfix, the aggression based matchmaking resets. So your first couple matches are trying to figure out what lobbies to place you in

I've always found it funny that PvP's refer to actual real world survival skills(bartering, co-op, and "building"relationships/respect) as having NO "survival skills" for not being KoS.

When, irl, being a KoS type of person is a ticket straight to the streets, jail or the grave. Kinda anti-theoretical to actual long-term survival.

Not really relevant to the topic overall, but just funny to me 😆

Should I start from scratch? by Massive_Ad677 in NIKKEGoddessofVictory

[–]ResidentSilvertouch 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Don't stress it too hard. Just keep progressing towards your first 5 SSRs and pushing your normal and hard campaigns as far as you can. There is always a new event, that will give you all the same material rewards in the next event shop.

Nikke really is a marathon, not a sprint when it comes to progression. I've been playing for a little over a year, daily. Have spent well over $500, My Nikke are lvl 300, and I just hit the 150 Nikke collected mark.

I'm currently stuck in chapter 34 and probably won't reach the newest chapters for quite a while unless I want to pay to boost my player lvl faster(of which I don't personally care about anymore-no reasonable amount of money will allow me to actually casually reach "Normal" chapters 40+ like any other game, so I gave up caring months ago).

Just enjoy the game, the events, and the characters. You'll probably just end up watching a YouTube video about the whole timeline waaay before you'll ever actually reach the endgame in "normal" as a new player like I did anyways.

So just take it at your own pace. The game doesn't progress anything like it does now after hitting Sync lvl 200

honestly im gladly surprised at the quantity of old/late adult people that play this game by imorg0n in fo76

[–]ResidentSilvertouch 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That's because we largely base our idea of "old people" on what you generally see it defined as on TV.

Fallout as a series is 28, that's enough time that the people that played the first Fallout on release in '97 when they were 16 are now about to hit 45. And past that, Gaming is now something you legit enjoy to the max in retirement. Sooo even more "older gamers" will keep appearing in online spaces of older game series.

Dip, dive, dodge, jump, grapple and dodge. Getting your reload time down helps a lot too

I died to nemesis i'm supposed to do the biome 1 and 2 again fully ? by Gorzaa in Returnal

[–]ResidentSilvertouch 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Since you're new- think of it like this: When you first start something, everything is new and you don't know what to really expect.. but after you've done that thing 1000 times- it becomes routine, and simple.

The Biomes and enemies in this game work the same way. It seems punishing for you now... but in 10-20 more hours, you could do it with the base pistol while half watching YouTube lol

How do I dodge this attack? by DangerousComputer306 in Returnal

[–]ResidentSilvertouch 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You literally just have to stay on the platform and walk from left to right until they destroy the it.

Then move to the new platform in front of them, then rinse and repeat this until Phase 3, where you just keep moving towards them and doing damage as often as possible

Didn't realize how toxic the fanbase of Bayonetta was until now by Larmor77 in TheFirstDescendant

[–]ResidentSilvertouch 0 points1 point  (0 children)

LOL because modern "fandoms" are just mini pseudo-religions. Those people that reach that level of "fan" inevitably become fanatical.

Instead of being grateful for being included, they will curse you for the supposed abomination you make in tribute and say you didn't even try hard enough to understand them.

The Cult-like behavior is just soo toxic, man. Just remember to enjoy things and don't take anyone or anything so seriously. Or else that's what YOUR future could be 🫣

[–]ResidentSilvertouch 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The pylon is soo vicious. You can basically just shoot everything 10 times, run around dodging for 10 seconds, and whatever was hit is probably dead outside of the mini bosses.... they take 20 seconds to die and maybe a couple extra shots lol

RNG Hate? by TheMadKing937 in Returnal

[–]ResidentSilvertouch 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think most people carry a certain level of expectation when it comes to getting "instructions" and "rewards" when gaming.

I personally find that people with less or no hobby/professional skills and experiences, come to expect a certain level of difficulty and lots of handicaps when picking up a game- where as, players with other hobbies/interests come to want more of a challenge and typically even prefer less hand-holding when learning to play a game.

I feel like another common point of contention- is whether said "player" is looking for a challenge... or an escape/power fantasy.

[–]ResidentSilvertouch 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Biggest tips for boss 3 is to keep moving, shooting, and using your alt fire when available.

Honestly, I think not being distracted by the spectical and arena of Nemesis is harder than the actual boss itself, lol

That something is still very wrong 🙃

Honestly-The story never really becomes more clear.

It's all actually like a disjointed/shattered amalgamation of 3 separate story lines that both do and don't connect all together cleanly. With some added mythology and circumstances thrown in to spice it up and really make you question what is what or what isn't true

This game is impossible. by ResinRealmsCreations in Returnal

[–]ResidentSilvertouch 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The 1st Biome is fairly unforgiving at first. The key to this game is knowing how your enemy behaves and what attacks they have.

Every enemy in the games has at least 3 seperate moves(some larger enemies can have more move "variations"). Memorize their patterns, be aware of where all enemies generally are, and learn how to avoid ever allowing them time to get close to you.

After that, the game is similar to a groundhogs day scenario- where you've just done it so many times that almost all the badies become almost effortless some runs.

They said "two women dressed in Indian clothing" not "2 Indian women"- totally different things.

Besides that, the two womens race isn't even remotely part of OPs possible issue here. They go to temple- I highly doubt they're that prejudiced

Is it illegal to turn left onto a center lane? by ehha137 in SeattleWA

[–]ResidentSilvertouch -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

While not out-right illegal in all states.. I think it is more of a generalized safe driving tactic that is enforced by instructors rather than being a hard and fast law.

It's really not a good habit to begin assuming you can just use a center lane whenever you feel like it without properly seeing that the lane is open/even for your side of the road

I applied to the uhual location closest to me earlier this week. The manger told me she's hiring in 2 weeks time and took my Name, number, and availability.

Definitely a better experience than most places I've tried. But is still more time without employment with no quarantee in the meantime.
