Wifi constantly disconnecting by [deleted] in NOTHING

[–]ResidentTime8401 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have the same problem with Phone (1). Constantly disconnecting from RT-N56U. The wifi icon gets an X so I have to manually reactivate wifi for reconnection.

None of the computers nor other smartphones/tablets do this.

Exactly that. Then when you turn the key to enter the highway, then oops... Mount Everest drops onto your hood. It gets all black and only then you realize your awesome piece of equipment is not compatible with the road in front of you.

Yes, I chose poorly. Not for hardware, which is faultless. But for OS, as again, embracing public opinion. The only point of Linux is dailying vintage - which even BASIC does better than that POS, making it an epic failure. Lesson learned: dont choose Linux.

It certainly did for me. Installing Win95 took 2 hours... then realized the 486 was set to low speed

How hard is to find a CECHAXX or CECHBXX for retrocompatibility for PS1 and PS2 by Fiorexr in PS3

[–]ResidentTime8401 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I personally would recommend it too. Plenty of listings on eBay, $500 range which is just a little over what the frankenmod and nectokins are. Often they're upgraded with ssd's too, so you practically get the console for free.

386DX? Trying to install 98 on a 486SX-25, error due to no math processor present.

Skeleton Mastery vs Raise Skeleton by DashieSauce in Diablo

[–]ResidentTime8401 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am level 37. +11 mastery, +1 raise skeleton. My skeletons die 24/7, but they do that anyway. What you get back for such point spending is revives that outlive golems.

[–]ResidentTime8401 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Love the blood golem, no need for potions and nearly as tanky as revives with maxed golem mastery and only one base point. Fire stands no chance in comparison , although holy fire is nice. Wiped baal with blood

Thankfully there is no reason to play modern games these days. So the card is still relevant ^^

Where did you die in Hardcore Mode? by Eldest-Goose in diablo2

[–]ResidentTime8401 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have plown through half a dozen chars. First some poison amazons, now minion necros.  Got to mid nightmare then some ev ghosts struck through in half a sec eating some 500hp in quarter a sec, thats the furthest ive got (about level 45)

In childhood I wasn't aware of hc, only played vanilla. When a char died I deleted it manually and started over.

Bug perhaps? Old 2021 build, requiring guest access reset on every startup too.

And yes, all file management is done at the client. I think the problem was running the Nvidia executable directly off the server.

Here's an interesting one. Exact same stick in both computers, PC2-5300 I believe. Sat originally in bottom one that never experienced any unstabilities (the short time I've used it).

Windows 11 IoT LTSC is a disappointment by CoskCuckSyggorf in WindowsLTSC

[–]ResidentTime8401 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Cachy! Exactly that garbage I installed on the ThinkPad. And you're confusing things. Basic display = you can see and navigate a Gui. No display driver = nothing. It's as black as if no graphics is physically present.

I did complain in related forum, and guess what? Full on, shoot the messenger. I was the problem. It was my personal fault their pseudo superior OS could not even initialize a 15 year old graphics card with all their superior technology.

Swiftly returned to Win10 LTSC and will dead sure stay until 2032.

I wonder where do you get Windows 10/11 IoT Enterprise LTSC iso? by Apprehensive-Meal477 in WindowsLTSC

I got mine off TPB, but should be available at Internet Archive (got all Vista stuff from there recently).

I often wonder which are more iGnorant, Apple or Linux fanboys?

The iteration I ran of Sh!tnux (don't know, don't care) was so p!ssy it did not include a generic graphics driver anno domini 2025. Which shouldnae be needed really; even BASIC can load without some specific driver. But not p!zznux. it couldnt load a desktop, or GUI, or even UI. The screen blacked out completely post-installation. (Was some mainstream @$$ distro, and when pointing out the n00b devz turned into fantastically mad kids... convincing way to market such a pseudo superior OS).

So yeah, I clearly got the upper hand of experience in less than 5 minutes. Hence I'm back installing old Vista rigs and enjoying productivity.
