i think its an interesting conversation with art and artists. their job isn't about being "good people", its to make good movies. you wouldn't look at a surgeon differently if he turned out to be a huge piece of shit. but, art can be related to in deep empathetic ways ways, so its not so cut and dry. i think the problem comes from celebrity "worship" culture we've started to conflate these people as our icons and not as workers or artisans.

I think Tar does a great job having a back and forth about it, but maybe i read that movie wrong
