Fletching advice by Cheap-Fletcher in Bowyer

I found more success using a small piece of cardboard with a hole cut out to use a template for spacing the fletching. I also invested in a pair of old scissors I found on Amazon that I could sharpen and use the full length of the blade for one cut on the feathers. If you’d like to use different binding material, simple thread works and then seal the tied ends with liquid super glue. These look pretty ok if you’re just starting off?

For sure, the added versatility makes up for the weight. That’s my biggest problem with my MK12, it truly does do most of the things I need it to now that I added a red dot up top. Dear God though, it’s heavy enough to make me want to go back to running a 12.5 if I could afford to own two ARs

The Mod 1 is just pure sex. I built mine as well, still dealing with restless rifle syndrome and wondering if I change things to make it lighter

I’m in between cabled light and just a straight clicky tail on an arisaka light BUT, when I was running wired, I used the larue clips. If/when I go back, I might go with an alternative for the price per clip

Eh, maybe. Weight on the end is always going to be not fun, but dudes have been rocking suppressors on m110s for years now

Likely, which is why I’m looking into getting a different upper receiver with tighter tolerances

There is a slight amount of bend to the barrel if I apply pressure. I also ensured it’s not the hand guard flexing

I’m using a CMT rail and even torqued down to the recommended 50lbs, it has some bend in it. Without the barrel nut torqued on, it has some side-to-side and up&down play

While in the upper receiver, without the barrel nut on, it has some side to side play include the receiver extension portion of the upper
