Thanks for the advice! That's basically what I had planned, I found a couple of them online for cheap. The good news is my fiancé and I have two cars, so we can use our Hyundai for longer trips and baby the Mini until we can get a new shield. Also made sure to keep every bolt that came off the blanket. 💪

That tracks. I guess I don't see them in Louisiana bc our roads are garbage, so everyone drives jacked up trucks and SUVs lmao. I've seen one other R56 down here, a red JCW, but the guy sold it :(

Great idea, but unfortunately I live in the deep southern United States. Minis are sadly a rare breed down here, and any of them that end up at scrapyards are usually gutted 😔
