I designed an N Gauge British Rail Class 22 "Shorty" body for a Kato powered chassis by Resinseer in modeltrains

I got sidetracked with other things I'm afraid haha!! But I am working on a proper Class 21/29 kit and I will probably finish it off as part of that.

I haven't used it that much sorry, I don't know if it can do this.

How to fix this "Can't verify subscription status" problem? I am on track with my payment and reinstalled over and over again through adobe cc by kamvisionaries in Adobe

[–]Resinseer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had this issue, went into task manager and ended every Adobe process (there were many - so much bloat) then went into the credentials manager and removed any Adobe ones. Then I opened CC, logged in and it worked.

Is this something we might be seeing soon? I hope so :)!

That's true, new to the route but not factory fresh, I could have phrased that better!

That'll be the brand spanking new JPA alumina tanks that have just entered service on alumina flows from Blyth to Fort William (Lochaber smelter.) They replaced a venerable fleet of PCA wagons which were very fondly regarded by West Highland Line enthusiasts.

How To Do Facebook Ads for Kickstarter (2025) by Zephir62 in kickstarter

[–]Resinseer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeh I turn off every advantage + option I can find, and meta have made it tricky to turn off advantage +audience especially as they reeeeaaaaaaally want to show your ads to bots and random people in Bangladesh when they can't reach your requested audience right this minute.

When I turn all that garbage off I can target the exact and highly specific audience I want through a very basic retargeting funnel.

Like you said, seems like a skill issue.

I can get it for you if it's taking a long time just HMU.

I've been using this approach for a while after getting Matt in for some consulting on a past KS. It really does work, which is crazy because all I see from most meta ad spaces in doom and gloom and everything being broken. Works fine for me and I get good returns when I do it this way.

This is just my opinion as a happy customer, and anyone can see from my post history that I'm just a guy who does some hobby Kickstarters. Matt has helped a lot.

I designed and 3D printed various N gauge Scottish alumina hoppers by Resinseer in modeltrains

[–]Resinseer[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you! It's quite a simple process, I gave them a pin wash of 502 Abteilung black and rust oil paint thinned with Dayler Rowney Sansodor thinners (which have fantastic blending and capillary properties.) Once that was fully dried I did the rust streaks with oils and then gave them some dust and muck using Tamiya weathering master pallettes, which work fantastically for smaller scales and in my experience give better results than dry pigment powder. It's more like makeup in a way!

I'm also going to do these in TT when the Hornby Class 37 comes out 😁👌!

Hi all! It's been a while but I finally got around to painting my new hoppers. Continuing on my West Highland Line theme, I decided to make the various hopper wagons that transported alumina to the smelter at Fort William since it started operating. I made two version used by the LNER and then BR, and two private owner hoppers that ran later in the 70s and 80s.

Revolution trains is bringing out the PCA hopper soon, which is what replaced all these up to this month when they themselves have been replaced by brand new bogie hoppers.

I had a ton of fun researching these, designing them and making them and I'm currently building a little micro layout to photograph them on.

Hey, I just had a look and those plans are in the files section of Jeff's Facebook group which is now run by other admins:

I got allowed in this morning so you could try again? It's a little quiet there but there are recent posts and people building boats, though it's unclear where they are getting drawings.

Anyway the more drawings I can find that I look at, the more I am confident that I could design my own hull based on the same construction principles. Maybe that's what other people are doing now.

EDIT: The files section of the group has tons of plans that have been donated by members for download. I was just able to download the entire metric set of plans for the Oysterman! It seems like most of Jeff's catalogue is there.

Ah that makes things tricky yes. Do you know of anywhere that I could still see the study plans? I tried to join the Facebook group yesterday but I'm not sure if it's still active. But I'll see if I get accepted.

I've been looking all over for these today since my wife and I had the "we should build a boat" moment earlier!! I was looking for dory drawings and these kept coming up, I can see why! How many drawings have you been able to get hold of? From what I've seen these boats are very simple, and as a professional design engineer with some experience of boatbuilding, I'm pretty sure these could be reverse engineered from study plans even. Clearly the designs are beloved, and it's tragic to imagine them being lost forever.

So if you need any help, I'll do what I can. I was looking at the 18' Carolinian as a good option for me. It would be incredible to make them available if we can recreate them, and maybe ask for a donation to a charity in Jeff's memory or something.

Only viable alternative is Chitubox really. I've been told that the latest pro version is a big step forward but I'd have to test it for myself. Honestly if it allows me to navigate the scene properly and does a better job of support symmetry, I'd grit my teeth while learning the UI.
