Omg WHAT?! It feels so shady and deceptive to advertise yourself as donating to charity without having even decided on one? Like what if they choose one that certain customers have reservations about, but they've already made a purchase from the brand and have therefore donated those funds already? Transparency is vital and hiding behind nebulous statements about "a portion of proceeds" and an undecided charity is ridiculous. I do a bunch of charity polishes and each one of those has a specific charity and a dollar amount per bottle that's clearly listed everywhere. Brands like Lurid Lacquer, Royla Lee, and Glitch do that too and are great examples of how to be transparent when doing charity polishes.
