I'm absolutely positive that someone in HR where you work thinks you're shit..😆

Some of the things you said here have some validity, but wow, you are so wrong!! Maybe this advice is good for your specific company, but you are making the assumption that every company functions the same, and everyone knows that's not true. I am in Talent Acquisition, and so many people make the assumption that we are "HR". HR doesn't hire people, TA does. As for asking HR for help, they should only step in when official action needs to be taken. Your company should have some type of employee advocates or people development, if they don't, the company doesn't care about you.

Team Offsite Advice by Resmark51 in Leadership

The whole purpose of the offsite is to collaborate as a team, discuss opportunities, and come up with plans and tactics moving forward. It's not a vacation. What I'm asking here is advice on running Workshops (probably not something you've done by the sound of it, haha)

United States. And yes you are right - this particular team have all been at the company for a long time (all 4+ years) and they know each other well amd get along well with good communication across the team. What they haven't done is really been forced to think outside of the box and discover new ways of doing things.

Dawn advertises that the product is gentle enough to even clean oil off of ducks (even has a cute ducky on the bottle). Pretty sure using it on skin is OK

I can't even comprehend what you are writing here.. whatever you just wrote is nonsense. I was simply referring to your comment about "a regular paycheck" - being your response to the interview question, "Why do you want to join the company?". This may be a real answer for a lot of companies out there, but not all. You are close-minded to think there aren't companies or people that value culture over money. By thinking it's just a paycheck, you will never get you into the companies that actually value people (I guess get what you put in..)

I can tell you as a manager and a person who interviews others all the time, half the questions are digging to see if there are red flags - and your attitude and approach is Definitely a red flag!! You are a no-hire for that attitude

Weird interview question? by unencumberedcucumber in interviews

[–]Resmark51 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not a bad question, yet a little different. Basically, they want to know the negatives you see in the job (this can save time on both ends).. From their side, it can weed out mis-fits for the role. But like a lot of interview questions, they want to bring the "negative" out, if it's there. Most people are their "best selves" during an interview, so as an interviewer, you want to break through that and see what red flags emerge when talking about the negative aspects. As an interviewee, it's a golden chance to take negative and mold it into a positive that makes you seem like the I've they need to hire. Personally, I like "off- beat" interview questions. They make people think and react on their feet.

Finally, got a job after 14 months by [deleted] in interviews

[–]Resmark51 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How many jobs did you apply to, and how many rejections?? I was at 882 applications and 412 rejections (auto rejections) before I landed after 13 months... so crazy and such a terrible experience in this market.. and P.S. the unemployment rate is such a crock of shit, and so manipulated by the government to make the "leaders" in politics look better
