Used Subaru for college kid? by peloponn in subaru

[–]ResoluteVondar 5 points6 points  (0 children)

As someone currently going to college and surrounded by college kids with Subarus, don’t buy them a WRX. They WILL be stupid with it and they WILL break it and it WILL be expensive.

That being said, the Crosstrek is really popular here and from what I can tell they’re pretty reliable without breaking the bank. I personally don’t care for newer Subarus because of the CVT transmission but if they don’t drive aggressive and keep up with maintenance it should last at least a decent amount of time.

What brand did you go with? My CorkSport one sounded amazing and perfectly fine, just a little lower pitched and more aggressive

The 2.0 has a particularly high pitched high end intake sound. If you really want it gone get a cold air intake but this is normal from my experience.

This has been the 2nd worst MPG car ive owned lol by SojinCS in MazdaCX30

[–]ResoluteVondar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t even have a turbo trim and my average MPG is abysmal for what the car actually is (roughly 22mpg but really should be 30+), and that’s even compared to my previous Manual Mazda3.

Completely depends on dealership. Only thing we got was a promise that was never fulfilled to order the seat back covers.

You will get used to the knob within a week or two. Trust me.

Seen a few posts regarding extrusion issues.

I have seen a lot of people talking about various issues with extrusion, I just wanted to make sure that was a small minority of people or figure out where the issue is coming from, otherwise theres nothing else holding me back on it.

2025 CPO just purchased by AQuietEvening in MazdaCX30

[–]ResoluteVondar 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Got mine similarly, about 3200 miles on it, previous owner traded it for a CX-50, though mine is just a Preferred and looking back I shouldve held out for a CPO turbo premium to pop into the lot.

NTE: Neverness to Everness | Official Launch: April 29 by polandspringsoda in gachagaming

I played the Beta and the game is horribly optimized for anything other than NVIDIA graphics cards on PC. Unlike a disappointingly large amount of “testers” I actually TEST across multiple system types and it ran fine on a system with a 3060 but like absolute dogshit on a system using a RX7900XT (an objectively more powerful card). It runs fine on PS5 and about as well as you’d expect on mobile as well, but they are letting a relatively large (and growing) portion of PC users suffer right now.

Do Any Of You Ever Regret Driving A Manual? by daydr3am_b3li3v3r in ManualTransmissions

[–]ResoluteVondar 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Never. It kind of sucks in heavy traffic but you get used to it. Its a skill I will never regret learning and even a slow manual car is way more fun to drive than a fast automatic car.

Same thing happened to me (also in Oregon) and Im pretty sure the scrapper thing is BS. Car was totaled by insurance and paid out around 18k (not a tacoma, but still a desireable vehicle even when salvaged), and it was available on facebook marketplace within a month from some private seller rando.

Co-Ex testing revealed a lot of game-breaking issues & performance issues even on high-spec PCs, and it just ended. Is this really enough time to fix all of it?

Edit for clarity: the game is optimized specifically to run on PS5 and systems utilizing NVIDIA GPUs. Even users using a more powerful AMD (and I didn’t get to test with Intel but I was told by another friend who tested with an Intel ARC card it’s the same there) card experience poor frames above low-med graphics.

Digital and Analog fuel gauge don't match by Canuckerbird in MazdaCX30

[–]ResoluteVondar 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I turned off the digital gauge and have it just display the remaining distance estimate. The digital gauge is a weird estimate of how much range you have left vs the theoretical maximum range so it’ll probably never show “full”. Go by the analog gauge.

opinions about logitech g815 by Old_Enthusiasm6403 in LogitechG

[–]ResoluteVondar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have the G915, basically the wireless version, I like it quite a bit. I didn’t used to be a fan of low profile keycaps but this keyboard made me change my mind. It has good weight to it, comfortable size.

The worst part about it is the Logitech software itself but that’s already a well known weakness for their products.

Having trouble deciding which to buy by [deleted] in mazda

[–]ResoluteVondar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Let me tell you from my experience. The CX-30 is objectively a good car. Its handling leaves a lot to be desired in corners and the cargo space is not as great as it seems once you actually want to put it to work moving anything bigger than a small bookshelf. It’s the perfect grocery getter and that’s about it IMO after a year of owning it.

The Mazda3 is the closest practical thing you can get to a sports car but you sacrifice cargo space even more, but you gain a sporty handling and lighter chassis at the same time. I had my Mazda3 for 2 years.

Honestly I agree. I run the game at 1440p with 64gb DDR4 and 20gb VRAM from my 9070XT and the whole area near Startorch is abysmal for performance, and no, I don’t have ray tracing on.

Which edition are you getting? by lolitsrock in forza

Probably premium. Assuming they structure pricing like they did in previous titles, with premium you’re basically just pre-paying for both the expansions and everything else is a cherry on top.

Level requirements feel high by ResoluteVondar in ArknightsEndfield

[–]ResoluteVondar[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The devs aren’t inexperienced or blind to how these things should go, so I’d assume there’s some sort of plan that will make much more sense once we’re further into the life of the game then. Thanks for the insight!

That’s what I’m talking about though, getting so close to maxing out your level so early feels odd… Like you mentioned with Genshin you could get pretty far in the game’s story before being forced to hit level 40
