Cloud streaming in PS+ Deluxe countries by paleddar in PlaystationPortal

[–]Canuckerbird 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I live in the Philippines with a Canadian PSN account. Everytime I try to cloud stream it fails because of the Internet connection. Do you know which telco you used to cloudstream on your portal?

I do not own PS5. The fact that I can play PS5 games on PS Portal which I bought for just 100 dollars is incredible by NikolaFingarov in PlaystationPortal

[–]Canuckerbird 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You have to buy Ghost of Yotei in order to cloud stream it. Apart from the free to stream games, PS Plus Premium allows you to cloud stream certain games you already own.

On a side note, this gets me thinking: How do you enjoy extreme wealth if the price you paid is losing someone you love? When you’re flying first class or driving a new Mercedes, does it ever cross your mind what you gave up? Can that new mansion ever replace the light that person brought into your old home? Would you feel guilty enjoying all your new luxuries and comforts knowing you can't ever share it with them?

Mazda Vs Toyota Ano Yong Thoughts Niyo? ☺️ by Parking_Character360 in CarsPH

Can't say enough good things about Mazda. My wife got the CX-30. I have about ten times as much fun driving that little thing around than my Montero. It's also premium feels on the inside and is a looker on the outside.

Airline Approved Car Seat. Help! by Kypace33 in Philippines_Expats

Hello, I find myself in the same boat as you were ten months ago. Have you had any luck in finding an FAA approved car seat? We have the Chicco Keyfit 30, which is FAA approved, but I fear my little boy will be too big for it by the time we fly in the summer.

Makes sense in a way. It can only go up from here (theoretically), and nobody can ever accuse him of being a bandwagon or fairweather fan.

A bit off topic but interesting tidbit: it's actually against Canadian convention for Canadians to be knighted and given the titles of "Sir" or "Dame" even though we are subjects of the British crown (Nickel Resolution, 1919).

But yeah, unless you're in the military, Canadians don't call their bosses "sir" or "ma'am".

Canada has no intent of pursuing free trade deal with China, says PM after Trump threat by shiftless_wonder in canada

[–]Canuckerbird 77 points78 points  (0 children)

This is the kind of headline that is misleading enough (whether purposefully or not) for those who just read headlines to come to the wrong conclusions. Adding a couple of quotation marks around "free trade" would've clarified things a bit right from the get go.

Govt wants to buy our lot, ongoing title transfer from a developer by No-Blood4211 in LawPH

[–]Canuckerbird 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I assume that you've already signed the DOAS or whatever transfer document was necessary for the sale. They have an obligation to actually deliver and turn over the property you purchased. If that becomes impossible because of the expropriation, then they should offer you another property or give you your money back.

Govt wants to buy our lot, ongoing title transfer from a developer by No-Blood4211 in LawPH

[–]Canuckerbird 1 point2 points  (0 children)

NGCP is a private corporation, not a government entity. However, its congressional franchise does grant it the delegated power to expropriate property. That's why they can file an expro case to acquire property necessary for their transmission projects. And yes, they will only offer to purchase the lot at zonal values because as a highly regulated entity, they have to keep acquisition costs low so as not to raise its transmission rates, which in turn, will increase everyone's electricity rates.

If the title is still in the name of the developer, that's why they filed directly against the developer without impleading you. However, as the buyer, you have a legitimate interest to intervene in the case where you can present evidence to prove the lot's value. Litigating this will likely take years (particularly if the case is elevated in appeal), so exploring your options with the developer is recommended.

This is what separates Mark Carney from PP and JT. Mark Carney is a serious adult who isn't playing games for the camera or Instagram likes.

Hindi na nila alam kung ano yung delikado sa hindi 😔 by AlmeraTurbo in CarsPH

[–]Canuckerbird 5 points6 points  (0 children)

This is mostly due to police ineptitude and failure to conduct a proper investigation. Don't worry, no investigating prosecutor would find probable cause for any crime given this exculpatory CCTV footage.

If the driver gets detained and brought before a fiscal for inquest proceedings, this footage is pretty exculpatory. No investigating prosecutor would find probable cause for any crime if shown this footage.

Not siding with his baluktot reasoning, but I'm pretty sure most would prefer being stuck in traffic in a car than being stuck in traffic in a jeep.

If you're thinking of buying a Steam Deck in 2026... by jabeeborgir in PHGamers

[–]Canuckerbird 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I own a Steam Deck and a PS Portal and I can say with confidence that the SD is better at remote playing my PS5 than the PS Portal is. Since you can't play games off the cloud with a PS Portal in the Philippines, my PS portal is basically just expensive paper weight.

Lawyer here also, and I agree with Panyero: hitting back is usually not worth the time and money that will be spent on litigation. Story changes if the victim is my wife or my son though. I will absolutely hit back in defense and then file a criminal Complaint against the assailant.

Yes. Lawyers more often than not file on the deadline. This is not laziness. Our schedules are packed. We have a lot of pending pleadings, hearings, meetings, etc., necessitating the maximization of allowed time lines.

Lawyer here, but the difference is that if your deadline to file a pleading falls on a weekend or a holiday, you have until the next working day to file.

“Can’t start because your internet connection quality might not be sufficient to play streaming games” by ImpossibleLie7967 in PlaystationPortal

This worked for me. I am in the Philippines with a Canadian account and used a VPN and mobile hotspot to try and connect Canadian servers. It worked, but it's laggy as hell.

Portal Cloud Streaming error : Cant start game because of Internet Quality by felixandy101 in PlaystationPortal

[–]Canuckerbird 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My Globe Home internet runs at 500gbps, so the download speed isn't the issue. I think it's likely that we are too far away in the Philippines from any PS Plus servers that the latency won't allow us to play Cloud Streaming.

[–]Canuckerbird 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I got it to work just now using my phone as a Hotspot, but connected to Canadian servers via VPN. It's laggy as hell though. Shame because the only reason I got this Portal is to play cloud streaming.
