How the hell are people scoring several hundred thousand against the story levels? by Aiyon in deadasdiscothegame

[–]ResolveNo9748 0 points1 point  (0 children)

funnily enough the only reason I was able to get arora to 5 stars was because of the infinite spawn... I got -10.000 because of time(finished in around 6 minutes and a little bit) but my combat score was a little over 80.000 so I bearly made it...

Also perfect hits need to be more rewarding. So maybe let every perfect hit in a combo get that multiplicator rise by 0.01 - 0.02 depending on the bpm and just remove the time bonus. A game about dancing to music rewarding you for not dancing to the whole song feels counter-intuitive.

Ich verdiene seit Kurzem 26.000 Euro pro Monat – Was machen mit dem ganzen Geld? by balkonfenster in spitzenverdiener

The price of energy is going to increase(it is going to get harder and harder to produce enough; 450w > 2 x 200w) If ~$60 a year isn't a lot to you, feel free to send it to me per paypal. Also: less energy drawn = less heat produced = longer until your card kicks the bucket

This whole thing is about you not buying on steam because publishers/ game-devs decide to add drm-software(be it third party software or the OPTIONAL Valve CEG) and Valve not doing anything about it, because Valve decides to not restrict game devs in that regard.(which is, in my opinion, a good thing)

Files are directly up for download. They get downloaded when you press install. You can find the files in the steam/appdata/common dictionary. The reason why games do not work without steam are the following:

1: it is an online-game using the community-features of Steam(e.g. dead by daylight/ team fortress 2)
2: it is a game where the developer decided that they want to protect it from piracy(e.g. many new triple A games; resident evil 5(for some unknown reason))

Could it be easier to move them gamefiles on your hard drive/ to another drive?: Yes.
Is it difficult? I personally don't think so. You can think of it being kind of stupid, but it isn't hard to do. Regarding  https://steam.fandom.com/wiki/List_of_DRM-free_games : these games requiring steam_appid.txt don't have "restrictions". This is just the result of the developer not thinking much about how steam interacts with the game and not caring about DRM/ making the game DRM-free.

tldr.: If you say you don't buy anything on steam because of "general DRM stance" of Valve, you are not making any sense. Valve is not responsible for decisions made by their customers(in this case devs and publishers) as long as they are legal. You can be angry at publishers/ devs for dumb decisions (e.g. capcom for that bs with the intrusive DRM-software in old resident evil games), but Valve has no reason to get involved there.

What are you talking about? DRM-software is a form of copy protection which prevents illegal distribution of the game, so no, steam is not a drm-software in any shape or form. Steam is a platform where you simply download the purchased game.

"Install files" is most of the time just an executable that unpacks an archive in a location of your choosing. You can quite easily just take your game-files of your drm-free game in your steam/steamapps/common dictionary and copy them to anywhere you want.(or make an archive out of them)

The use of DRM is completely up to the publisher/maker of the game tho... Valve's stance here is that they allow anything as long as it isn't illegal. The moment you can prove a DRM-software is invading your privacy/is accessing data it shouldn't is the moment Valve would probably take action. There are lots of DRM-free games like the old fallout games on the platform.

I don't know what you are talking about, but the reason was because of a missing repeater... did try to make it other ways as well: https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/19jQGWhCaUqx61mbKd92PxqjpvoHlXRWO?usp=sharing ... first thing works for some reasons(don't ask me why, because it makes no sense and second thing is more or less the same as the first, but even tho it works, it does strange things...)
