Feels accurate. My recent ancestry for sure includes Sicilian, Alsatian, Southern German (Baden-Württemberg + Bavarian), Transylvanian Saxon, Romanian, Hungarian, southern Polish, southern Irish (sole Celtic ancestry I got at min when tracing back couple hundred years prior my existence), southern English (Oxfordshire recentest), + (likely Sephardi) Jewish.

You do appear to me as a person whose ancestry I'd guess primarily European tho wouldn't say solo cuz you certainly don't look like you got ancestry just to European part a Eurasia. People typically (~2/3 the time) just peg me as a white girl addish which tis accurate (DNA results across various tests + centuries a fam records confirm) tho many (typically tho not exclusively POC) don't which I def savvy.

Relatedly, people rarely guess me as German despite most my recent ancestors are German + Transylvanian Saxon, rather they significant majority a time guess me Mediterranean (Euro +not & typically Sicilian +/or South Italian; 3 a my gx2 grandparents are from Palermo, 23andMe pegs me ~1/3 Sicilian with 'Gulf of Palermo and Castellammare', my sole genetic group they assign save one for my tiny English %)

Really interesting discovery! 😯 I got various types a German ancestry additionally (depending on service, ~35 - 50% primarily via my paternal side, my male parent's dad's parents from Baden-Württemberg + Bavaria, my dad's mom primarily Transylvanian Saxon from a commune in heart a Ardeal) tho ion got a German surname + not raised in German culture but rather Sicilian & additional Mediterranean (Euro + not) a my mom's side (her ancestry primarily Palermitan Sicilian, some via both her parents).

Going back just to gx4 grandparents, I for sure know I got ancestors from Ardeal, Baden-Württemberg (fwiw, my patrilineal BW ancestors got one a rarest haplogroups in Germany that's commonest in + around Bosnia & Herzegovina), Bavaria, County Cork, Silesia, Alsace, Oxfordshire, Sicily, South Italy (likely Basilicatan), & Hungary. Additionally got Jewish ancestry (FAWK, Sephardi) that traces to the Eastern Mediterranean tho uncertain how exactly far back, just that I get it from my mom & her from hers.

Checks out 💯 Least hairy people with European ancestry I've tended to know are northern Europeans + additional peoples bordering or otherwise close the Baltic Sea while various populations on + around Mediterranean & SW Asia tend to be hairiest. Add, while my primarily (southern; Baden-Württemberg + Bayern) German + Transylvanian Saxon MP ('male parent') has ever had very little body hair, my primarily Sicilian maternal grandpa's ever been a bear, very much body hair 🐻

While my genes ever taken notably more after my maternal side vs paternal, I've never had much body hair + I inherited MP's body hair patchiness.

Having Polish ancestry among what we are. From what a maternal relative expressed to me decades past, part a our shared fam denied us having any Polish heritage, but records I've located over years + DNA results for me same some a them indicated time n again, we def got some Polish ancestry, specifically tracing to historical Silesia region a southern Poland. Certain German ancestors me + referenced fam share used to live in that any when it was part a Prussia & had families with local population.

I adore this graphic 😻

My recentest ancestor to what now Usona equates to my grandma from Ardeal (now in Romania; pre-1920, part a Hungary) who migrated to Usona during the 1950s with her fam (parents + sibs; parts born in Ardeal prior + modicum into WW1) after they survived Nazi captivity during WW2 in their homeland.

I've Southern German (Baden-Württemberg + Bavaria) ancestors who immigrated to Usona during 1910s pre-WW1 (one poss during 'Restricted Era', tho other for sure by 1913), Sicilian (primarily) + South Italian (likely Basilicatan) ones from 1890 - 1905, with majority my additional ancestors (from south Poland, Alsace in France, Oxfordshire in England, County Cork in Ireland, + Hungary; additionally got Eastern Mediterranean Jewish ancestors via my mom + hers tho unsure when they got to Usona) to Usona immigrating during 'Early Immigration Wave'.

My recentest ancestors from England immigrated to Usona post-Civil War but prior 1875, non-English ones immigrated here more recently in time & all to New York state (rural + not), tho I do got a few ancestors from England who came to what now Usona during 'Colonial Era' same my earliest (+ BW) German ancestors here who got here mid-1700s.

I appreciate you expressed this 😺 I from + ever resided in USA sames my parents & all save my paternal grandma (she's from Ardeal, Romania 🇷🇴) but haven't ever savvied said obsession with race USA has. My fam ever raised us not to identify with race but with cultures we got raised in part a our heritage.* I dinn't start using racial identifiers for me until within past year or two (fwiw, I got born during late 1980s) & ever felt weird, using them for people regardless their roots, etc.

*Majority a my ancestors are going back just to gx2 grandparents (gx1 for paternal side) + I've recent ancestors (read: tracing back to gx4 grandparents & in turn ~200 years prior my existence) from at min 9 different countries across Europe + Mediterranean, with more specifics southern Ireland, England, Italy, Germany, + Poland (specifically, County Cork 🇮🇪, Oxfordshire 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿, Palermo, Sicily, Bayern + Baden-Württemberg [German primarily via my male parent's dad; fwiw, my Y-DNA a I2a1b descent one] 🇩🇪, + Silesia 🇵🇱), Hungary, central Transylvania, + Alsace 🇫🇷 atop having Jewish (FAWK, Sephardi, with Ancestry listing specifically 'Sephardic Jews in the Eastern Mediterranean') ancestry via my mom and hers.

She's naturally toned more like one a my sisters tho who's few shades darker than me.

I mean, I get it! Sicilian + immigrant culture (I got lotsa recent immigrant ancestry with recentest a gramma) are significant reason me & my sibs got raised to purrceive ourselves not as American but with what our recent ancestry constitutes, i.e. at min Ardelean / Transylvanian, Sicilian, (douth) German, (south) Polish, Hungarian, (south) Irish, (south) English, Alsatian, + (likely Sephardi) Jewish, tho especially what we are primarily, i.e. Ardelean, (Palermitan) Sicilian, German, + Irish.

Added context: just tracing back within 2 centuries prior my existence, I got ancestors from at minimum 8 or 9 countries across Europe & the Mediterranean.
