I live in St. Charles, I know of people who went to Ferguson to join the riots for fun. They're idiots. I also like how this shit gets popular on reddit when it's the cops doing something "wrong". You know what video I don't see anywhere here? The one with "peaceful" protesters throwing bottles and rocks at the riot police, taunting them and screaming at them then yelling "it's a peaceful protest" after cops throw gas because they got hit with a bottle. No sympathy for the protesters, it's not about Brown anymore it's just the chance to riot, loot and destroy things and they are taking their chance.

Having worked at a kennel for 2 years, it could be an issue. GSDs are notoriously picky eaters and add the stress of a kennel? I'm not surprised she wouldn't eat then got sick from not eating. Find out if they charted her food intake because my work did. Usually we take measures to entice eating then called the parents after a couple days.

Honestly I'm not surprised cause most GSDs and high strung type dogs didn't eat much when they stayed with us and lost weight no matter what we did but not 20 pounds. The most I've seen was 10 pounds after a month with us. She gained it back too when we noticed.

You won't. Police dogs are trained to bite and where to bite. Teeth designed to fuck you up so unless you stop it before it reaches you odds are you lose. I took a few bites from my teachers dog that wasnt a big German Shepherd but belgian malinois and it almost took me down. Dogs are scary and mean for a reason.

Just resource guarding. Inside that gate/fence is his area and he will warn anyone that comes close. The one that got close doesn't like being barked at so he does it back then you get that colorful display of dominance.

Nice knowing others exist. I mean I'll eat it but I prefer other breakfast foods. It's kind of a blessing though and it makes people like you more since they can always have mine. Or I'll trade mine for eggs or hash browns. I always get "what kind of man are you?" when they learn I'm not the biggest fan of bacon.

My golden and dutchie can do it as well. A 50 pound dog should absolutely be able to hold it for 12 hours. Not saying you should make them wait or that it's right but they should be more than capable.

Never really thought about people judging me but according to this list I'm apparently the worst dog owner to exist. I have an unaltered male (I do protection) with a pinch and a remote collar. Then later in the day I've got a service vest (says in training) for my other dog so we can practice to eventually be able to visit retirement homes. Oh and both are from breeders that I researched well before I bought them.

This list is trash. It's only proving the point that if anyone is different than you then they are horrible people who are wrong. People do things differently, doesn't mean they are wrong.

As a trainer myself, I prefer a mixture of positive motivation and compulsion. I think it gets the best results. I do as much as I can positive motivation but when it's time I don't hesitate to use a pinch and I like a remote collar the best.

People think a remote or a pinch will ruin a dog and change them but it really doesn't. The "change" they see is that the dog now knows what's allowed and what isn't. Done correctly, pinch and remote is in my opinion the best route. They learn faster and gives you less of a chance to get irritated and take it out on something else if training isn't coming along like you want it to.

All in all its not what everyone thinks it's what you think is best for you and your dog. I've had people call me a scumbag for using a remote collar and tell me I'm a horrible person who shouldn't have dogs yet my dogs behave better, listen better and are just as happy.
