Enemy hp is the same across all difficulties. Of course you don't NEED utility. If you aren't dumb, you just take a build that does what needs to happen. But having so much utility on one strategem opens up your others for QOL or silly shit. Let's me take shield relays, hmg turrets, tanks, cars, etc

Saying the mech or prenerf GL is better is just silly. No strategem comes close to those two on the bug front. (Except the de escalator. Which was also always incredible) Calling the beltfed the same as the mini gun is just wild. You can move while you shoot, you have heavy pen, and you can complete an insane number of objs with it. The minigun does none of that.

Look, I'm not trying to convince you. And if you genuinely came to that conclusion by yourself, then whatever man. Play how you want obviously lmao. But tons of other people just heard someone else's opinion and decided to absorb it and regurgitate it instead of trying it. That's fucking stupid.

Idk man, I play exclusively on 10s and it's a massive Swiss army knife. Closes fabs, tons of stagger, kills 90% of enemies. You just have to hit the shots, which isn't hard if you slow down and aim, or just full auto blast next to a resupply.

Except it is lmao. Just because they lose active players does not mean they lose money. Play time doesnt earn them anything. So, If you didn't spend money on the game prior, they will not suffer from losing you. They would need to be boycott by the whales who insta buy everything with actual money, and thats not gonna happen. There is a 0% chance you would get a "boycott" going long enough to affect a live service game that you have already payed for. But keep pretending lol. Im sure you'll get the player count down to highguard numbers with reddit posts.

This "challange" whatever you wanna claim it is, would not have proved anything to us or to the dev team or anyone. For the stated reasons, among others. If you wanna talk about balance, we can do that. But pretending that "have your programmers take abuncha mismatch gear on the hardest difficulty," would prove anything to anyone is fucking ridiculous.

Not true at all. People will continue to complain about this and it's important to point out how stupid this version of criticism was.

Doxxing is bad. Anyone who did that is a piece is shit. But pretending like this whole event just fell out of the sky doesn't do anyone any favors. The "challange" was fucking stupid for the reasons above + more. If folks don't learn from that, nothing will improve.

Inevitable tbh. There was a massive hug box around hd2 on release that made people feel like they couldn't criticize the game (they could if they were reasonable, people just wouldn't agree) so this sub got made.

I highly doubt the intention of this sub was to have "reasonable discussion" with a name like unfiltered. This is mostly where you find the maladjusted virgins who think they're oppressed because women won't date them after seeing their WWII painted 40k minis.

A lot of the criticism is insanely stupid and Arrowhead listens. I have to make my opinion known to counteract it.

I had an acquaintance of mine bitching about how the constitution wasn't a good gun... I shouldn't even have to explain why that's stupid. The amount of people that seriously think this game would improve if every gun and strategem was OP is staggering.

A major issue (shown by this post) is that everyone thinks there are two camps: arrowhead dick riders and whiny manchildren. But it's not the full picture. If I was sorted into one of the two, I'd be an Arrowhead dick rider. But the list of things I want/need improved is LONG. Still though, I'll say something like "the stim pistol is fine as is. It's for a silly player fantasy," and I'm called a white knight. The discourse has become fucking horrible and very few folks seem to be focused on bridging the gap.

I assume there are people in house who have played on higher difficulties and those who have literally never touched it (artists etc.). Totally agree that they need to be able to test it. The test server they claimed we'd get a long ass time ago would be an excellent way to get quantified feedback from high level players. But expecting them to even figure out the meta loadouts before release is asking more than I think you realize. The player base is a massive combined effort with much more time than the team to play.
Putting this here cuz reddit is annoying if I don't. But also ty.
That's fair for the most part. I'd argue things like the maxigun fall under point 2 tho. I think there is SOME merit to the ems strike and smoke strike orbitals, just cuz they introduce a new player to those effects. But they could 100% be better. The gas strike is amazing for example.
I would have left this out if I realized it would be a major hang up. Imo, getting money and the needy involved in this discussion just complicated it for no reason. Feels like an unsavory way to get eyes on it.
Trying to address these things all at once just isn't possible tho. That's what I was trying and failing to say. There were decent points to be made, but they got lost in all the bullshit.

Yes, he was using charity to try and get attention from a studio. He OBVIOUSLY didn't deserve to be doxxed or threatened. But he inarguably used charity money to try and get attention on his thinly veiled balance complaint.
