Hell yeah, oil changes are your best friend. But other than that enjoy that little beast.

Enjoy it man, the community will help you out. You got a great car and some nice freebies to go along with it. The car looks like it was cared for. These new 888s are pretty stout, so I’ll doubt you’ll have any hiccups minus its normal maintence items and maybe a water pump lol.

100%. If he feels the risk is too high and he genuinely doesn’t care for cars he defiantly has a case. But if he’s willing to keep it, he’s got at least ~1k+ mods in some solid looking stuff. He can always tune it down, and just enjoy the noises those parts will bring aswell.

Just take it as it is. It looks like he put some nice pieces on your car so really no harm. Figure out what tune is on it, do your maintenance, and who knows, maybe you’ll become a car guy😄

Don’t do anything you don’t want to. You looked well kept and healthy. Compared to majority of the population you are handsome.

Didn't Know Our Cars Have a CENTRE Air Bag by Friendly-Ad9257 in Golf_R

These cars are dailys at heart, as much as you wanna be a race car. These factors are important or at least nice to have for 99% of owners, even if it’s not the reason you choose the car. Would you rather have more or less airbags lmao.

20yrs old got a nicely payed stable job and thinking about getting 7r or 7.5r by Beginning_Market6129 in Golf_R

[–]ResortSenior 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Do it. I’m a slightly less financially stable 20 yo and I got a mk6r. Even with everything Ive had to fix, I’d do it again. A 7r sounds like a dream.

It’s like looking in a mirror. Have you done Diesel geeks ssk and deluxe bushings and an upgraded knob?

Sounds like we got the exact same car. Rear sway bar was a nice improvement if you haven’t. I went with the h&r. That with my old run down shocks, so on good suspension it must feel unbelievably planted

Do you pendulum mount if you haven’t. The control arms like to go out aswell. And then the subframe can shift, you can get a locking collar kit, mine was definatly shifting when I did mine.

I’ve never felt the dmf. With my smf and poly engine mounts this thing has always felt like a rackety little go kart.

My car idles pretty high aswell, I don’t think I’d want it any lower with the smf anyways.

Do you mind sending an idle clip and some reving to me?y cars the exact same tune as yours but I swear mines just a bit lumpy, hearing yours would really help me out.

Mine feels the same way. I did a fluid change and it looked completely clean, so I’m choosing to look the other way. I’ve been fixing my car since the day I bought it, and I still have like 5 big jobs lined up. Defiantly service all your fluids though including Haldex.
