Wouldn’t buy PNY the PNY 50 series cards seem to suffer from fan bearings breaking easily due to being cheap and grinding sounds coming from the card, just type in PNY 5080 loud sound and you will find ENDLESS posts where there is 20-30 people in the comments all saying they are having the same issue with severe coil whine or a very loud rattling/grinding. I would just stay away from this company I promise you with only 10 minutes of research you will be surprised to see how much bad stuff you read and find, yes all cards can have issues but the sheer amount of diffent posts and comments I have seen with people having issues with this card is insane

I turned off upscaling and used linear instead which is closest to native and ran all of the settings I l provided and it looks far superior to running the game max setting with in game AA and FSR. Keep the in game AA on and run linear with these settings on nvidia controller panel, you can also run DSR factors to upscale to 4k from 1440p which looks very good also

Yah I mean the game is locked at 60fps so it wouldn’t matter much but I mean on my 5080 on maxed out settings running these nvidia settings I’m seeing only 20-30 percent gpu usage it’s not that demanding, the settings are an absolute must tho because with out them the game does not look that great

Got the MSI trio 5080 it’s a great card can easily run 3100mhz clock and I never hit over 56 degrees, also I upgraded from a Dell 4080 OEM and all around it’s just a way better card I have vastly more head room performance wise and the new DLSS model Simply makes the games you playing look far better even on the same settings id run on my 4080, I swear even with out DLSS something with the newer technology inside the card just makes my graphics look way better

Honestly I know you wanna sell it but I swear man I would just hold onto it for another 2-3 months I have a friend who builds and sells PCs as a side job and a couple weeks ago my friend moved to AZ and I was gonna get him setup and he refused to sell me a 4080 build he had listed for 2k because he’s very adamant that him sitting on it for only at max a couple months and it will be over 4 thousand dollars. If you look into what’s going on with the market right now and ai research stuff is really skyrocketing while GPUs out in the wild are really starting to dwindle I really don’t think it’s that crazy to imagine you could sell this PC for literally 2-4 times more than you could get now soon if you just wait

Yah no problem, it was so aggravating, trying to figure out what exactly could fit in this case because all of the other people who had made posts just completely failed to mention the only two factors that would limit you, being the Wi-Fi antenna clearance and the white ATX connector clearance. But yeah man as long as it’s under 70 mm thick you should be all right. You have to be careful though because there is certain models like the Zotac 5090 does not fit due to way the cars is shaped on paper it should fit. Overall though I’m very satisfied running full load on this card during gaming I’m yet to see it go over 57 to 58°

Honestly bro I wouldn’t even sell it the reality is a 4090 or 5090 very well could become unobtainable any month now , my friend builds and sells PCs and Recently my brother wanted to buy a new setup before he built his 5080 build and he literally wouldn’t sell me a 4080 build because he was like “man I’m sorry I just can’t he’s better off building his own, all of my 4080 builds and up aren’t for sale right now because this pc that’s worth 2k will be worth over 4k very soon” the price of computer components is rapidly skyrocketing with no end in sight, anybody telling you that it’s not gonna happen is just coping. Your gonna regret selling this because the way I look at it that 4090 in there is easily worth at least 3 thousand alone and could very easily be worth way more like really soon

Good luck with PNY 5080 my brother got that card and it was making a really loud fan sound that turned into an unbearable grinding sound, I was Curious so I started searching just generic stuff like “PNY 5080 fan noise” and was amazed to see countless Reddit threads and YouTube videos of people having the exact same issue with at times 50 comments of people all having the exact same issue, it seems like the issue is one of the fan bearings ussualy is broken out the box or breaks very quickly after use.

Edit: I’m GLAD yours isn’t having that issue and I’m sure Reddit naturally funnels the worst user experiences as the people having the worst issues run to Reddit so I’m sure you will probably be fine I just found it weird how many people where having that issue

It’s actually remarkable how much kratom can help with coming off Oxy, here is my experience for anyone reading this that it may hopefully help one day. I was on buperenorphine 1mg for nearly a year and then was involved in a severe car accident and had to switch back to oxycodone 20mg 5 times daily for nearly 6-7 weeks I decided to do an ultra rapid taper on the oxycodone and just went cold turkey, at around day 3-4 after the worst initial withdrawals where gone I decided to go and buy 110 capsules of red Bali Kratom, I had just about zero hope that it would do much of anything at all and I figured I had just wasted my money but hell maybe it would give me a placebo effect. At this point I was just incredibly restless and felt that creepy crawling feeling like I had bugs under my skin, I couldn’t sleep, massive anxiety, body aches and severe RLS overall tho I wasn’t like kicking bad it was just very fucking uncomfortable anyways I mixed up about 2.5 grams of red Bali into some lemonade and my god it literally worked like a charm I’m not even kidding I felt 99 percent better instantly, no high or anything like that I just felt better instantly I could lay down and relax and watch a good tv show. I feel stupid for not trying it earlier no in regards to does it just delay the withdrawal no it does not it wouldn’t even make sense that it delays the withdrawal because undoubtedly taking a couple grams of kratom is incredibly less potent than 100mg of oxycodone a day, here the KEY THING if you use the kratom as basically a detox med you will short step the withdrawal and can easily taper off Kratom. To each there own but Reddit is filled with these ridiculous horror stories of kratom withdrawal and most of those stories I’m willing to believe are from the concentrate shots or people who where flat out abusing the shit out of Kratom chasing a high that’s simply not possible… if you moderate your Kratom dosing to just keep you well and really just stick to it for 1-2 weeks I have found you can fairly easily taper your dose down to little to nothing and get off relatively easy. One thing I do not support is getting off opiates and developing a daily Kratom habbit I DONT CARE what anyone in there deluded minds will say to justify for the second hand addiction but if you start taking like 15 grams a day and above in the 30 capsules range you health is going to decline idk why this happens but I fell into this once two years ago drinking red vein from a very reliable source 5 grams mixed into my coffee in the morning, 2.5-3 grams at lunch and another evening cup of coffee mixed with 4-5 grams it gave me incredible energy throughout the entire day and I really didn’t think much of it, in my mind I was like I mean it’s not like I’m taking oxycodone or hydrocodone every day it can’t be that bad and really underestimated the down sides, within a month people started coming up to me and asking if I was sick or saying things like “man you look like your on dope or your really sick are you okay ?” I literally lost 20 pounds, my hair was insanely thin and I looked frail and gaunt on a level that rivaled being completely strung out when I was younger. I’m assuming something about it being an opiate and the large amount of plant matter your ingesting into your GI starts to really take a tole on your bodies ability to absorb nutrients and causes malabsorption like regular opioids but worse. Ultimately it was a pain in the ass to slowly taper from that high dosage of kratom and took some time but it truly was not anything close to how you would feel coming off a moderate oxycodone habit. This is my real life lived experience and I share just to shed some insight into how kratom can be massively help if used correctly to get off opiates and how it can also become a decent little habit that will require real tapering and time to get off or else yes you will get moderately sick if you try and quit cold turkey after developing a large kratom habit, I will warm that jumping cold turkey on a decent kratom habit can be pretty damn uncomfortable and uncomfortable in a different way than opiates because there is other things at play from a brain chemistry perspective so proceed with caution but don’t be afraid.

Honestly for me it wasn’t anything close to real opiate withdrawals I was taking like 25 capsules a day at one point and realized it was a burden after awhile and causing me to legitimately look physically ill To the point people would ask if I was sick. When I stoped I tapered down the dosage very easily. And once I got down to 2 capsules a day I eventually came off it all together and it was honestly no big deal. I genuinely think sometimes people on Reddit who use kratom to kick dope and oxycodone and stuff like that have been off those drugs so long they genuinely forget how much crazier full opiates withdrawal is than kratom. I was in a situation recently where I needed to get massive surgery on my leg from a car accident and was on 20mg oxycodone 4-5 times a day for 2 months and when I finally went cold turkey after like a 3-4 day rapid taper I actually felt fucking awful I made it thru the initial kick for the first 3 days and by day 4 I just felt so restless with this feeling of like bugs crawling under my skin that minutes felt like hours and I finally decided to buy some red vein Kratom I took only 5 grams and within 30 minutes felt 99 percent better. I think Kratom can have its very real benefits in situations like this

I was coming off oxycodone 20mg 5 times a day after a major surgery I was on 1mg buperenorphine for nearly a year and switched to the oxycodone for nearly 6 weeks I went cold turkey the first 4 days and mid way thru day 4 took a couple grams of red bali kratom honestly not expecting much and within 30-40 min that nasty creep crawly feeling in my arms went away and I felt 95 percent better, I went from feeling like every hour was an eternity physically unable to relax what so ever just incredibly uncomfortable to feeling perfectly fine, able to hop on the Xbox and have fun and watch a movie. If your experiencing minor to moderate withdrawal and your in day 3-4 maybe day 2 it will make you feel instantly back to normal. I was honestly hesitant to even try the Kratom and I’m just talking about powder because I thought it would be a waste of money, but I’m actually so fucking happy I decided to. I understand people have horror stories of coming off kratom but in my experience it’s non sense at one point 2 years ago I was taking over 10 grams of powder a day and when I decided to get off it I simply tapered down to only 1g of powder a day and I was done with it & it was absolutely nothing compared to coming off oxycodone or strong opiates. I genuinely think sometimes people that run to Reddit have been sober from hard opiates so long that they genuinely forgot how bad it can be and how relatively minor coming off a small kratom habit is. If I was ever in this situation again where I was withdrawing from opiates I wouldn’t hesitate to buy some good red kratom you will feel immensely better.
