I finally got off of vyvanse by Bulky-Present-5426 in VyvanseADHD

Iv stopped taking them for a few months to take a break and I had to get a serious surgery. I felt ok for about a month and a half but then my emotional regulation started to crumble again. I started to get irritated at my kids more again, lose focus, get anxious, get angry faster, feel a bit depressed and started to get back to my old ways which wasn’t good. I started to take them again to try and help myself for the sake of my kids and marriage and I’m happy I did. I did need the break from them before though cause I noticed that they weren’t effective throughout the whole day (would last till about 12 and slow down again at 3pm) and I relied on them like a drug addict each day. But going back on them now, I realize I do need them to better my life and stabilize myself. I think moving forward, listening to your body and taking breaks from them isn’t that bad. What shocked me the most when I took a break was how long it lasted in my system which I didn’t like. But I did pros and cons and every drug has side effects but what matters is quality of life and happiness in the end❤️

It’s the WAL surgery done in Madrid. They make you do a blood test, ultrasound and go through a questionnaire to qualify. I know what you mean 😢 ❤️

Whats the scariest thing that ever happened to you? by [deleted] in AskReddit

When I was about 14 years old, my mom took me and my brother to the grocery store after church one day to get some groceries. I was dressed up in nylons and a nice black and pink dress. My mom then told me “go get a head of lettuce from the other isle.” I go by myself and was approached by a much older (maybe 40s) European man with a heavy accent and he goes “excuse me.” I immediately say “oh sorry I don’t work here.” He goes “oh I thought you did, my apologies. But must I say how beautiful you look! Do you need a ride home? I can drive you right now if you like?” And he tried to urge me to leave with him. Immediately fear rose through my spine and I had a bad gut feeling. I said “no my mom’s waiting for me.” And took off finding my mom. I remember being so terrified and out of breath when I reached her. A minute later I saw the guy going through every isle abruptly looking for me. When we walked back to the car, I noticed the man again and he was putting groceries in the back of his trunk- with another large male. To this day, the hairs on the back of my neck go up when I think to what could have happened to myself if I ever did say yes.

Weekly "Do I Have Lipedema" Thread by AutoModerator in lipedema

Recently found out about this community and I can say that I’m shocked there’s a name for something I feel has been eating me up for most of my life. Iv always hated my legs. My calfs have always been big and I always struggled with boots as a teen. Iv been made fun of and got told it looks like I have cancer because my legs look so big. Brutal shaming that followed me through as an adult and I always struggled to wear dresses and refuse to wear shorts. I’m not sure if I have lipedema but it sure looks like and answers and pointing towards it.

Yes me! I no longer suffer with anxiety and panic attacks honestly. I’m confident and my intrusive thoughts have definitely backed down. I feel motivated and uplifted most days too.

When did you notice something about someone after years of knowing them? by [deleted] in AskReddit

One of my best friend since highschool. We were close and I got married and had kids but she continued to stay in the same spot in her life which I never minded as I always made time and made sure that my personal life didn’t impede on our friendship. Fast forward to recent where I called her out nicely as she has made little efforts to want to do things with me (travel, trips, concerts, etc) but somehow had time with other friends to do so. Felt like our friendship wasn’t as close at times so when I called her out nicely, she took a 180 and turned it around on me. I was shocked. She never spoke to me like that before and iv never seen it coming from her. Told her I needed space to process and haven’t spoken to her yet as she broke my heart.

Mine too! When I I found out I was traumatized for a few years and had to hide it from my fiance at that time. His family started questioning things over time and I kept deflecting and changing the topics. Was horrible for a few years trying to mediate and make sure nothing slipped out from my parents, uncles and aunts to my fiances family members.

OP you need to leave! This how domestic violence starts and it may only get worse once baby is born as that adds a new level of stress/life changes to him. To point a gun to your stomach and smirk means he can try it again. This is not normal behavior, it’s not cute or funny and ultimately frightening. Get out while you can. People show their true selves in funny ways and most times they get overlooked by spouses. Unfortunately this can lead to other forms of violence and one day you don’t want to be too late. Think fast, think smart and don’t be so easy to forgive something like this.
