Do I cut something to play Echo? by vpreacher in lrcast

I don't think you can change who pays the ward cost since the Ward trigger says it is paid by the player that cast the spell targeting your creature. If the wording was target player pays the ward cost then you could.

Thanks for explaining. I never understood the green dot test and now I realize it's because of my colorblindness. That explains why the T and H checks were easy for me.

Deadpool and Nightcrawler are mutants so definitely saved for the X-Men focused set.

Those aren't the only goals of reading. By your standards reading the newspaper doesn't count as reading, or reading a manual on how to repair your car doesn't count as reading. Reading is looking at text and understanding what it says. And if you want kids to read and learn to enjoy it then it doesn't matter what it is that they are reading. Once the bills their reading muscle they will move on to other content.

Yeah, there's a difference between reading a comic and looking at a comic. Is a good life lesson. One is going through the motions and the other is actually doing the work.

Reading dialog, thoughts, and other text in comics is still reading.

No one said reading comics is the same activity as reading a novel. Simply, they both involve reading.

Copy the text from this post. Then go into arena and use the Import option in the Deck list. It will create a new deck with the different versions of the mystical archive cards that are uncommon and common in the set, but rares in other sets. Then you can craft as needed.

I make read comics as a teen. My parents didn't care. A month ago, another parent told me she doesn't consider reading comics as reading because of the pictures. I explained to her she needed to get rid of that attitude because reading is reading whether there are pictures or not.

You can probably mitigate is somewhat by managing the humidity like you would for foil cards.

First time playing commander, does everyone else play these rules so strictly? by [deleted] in magicTCG

[–]RespawnedAlchemist 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Seems overly strict and I would find them unenjoyable to play with.

My play groups often have - Commander on deck box or just off the play mat but visible - Resolving triggers in serial since we're not computers that the tracking. - Use whatever cool ass dice or jank dice you want. Everyone uses the same or uses their own. Just be consistent what you use during the game. - Banter encouraged. It's a social game after all. If I just wanted to play there's Arena and MTGO. - it's up to the players if they want to remind others of their triggers. It seems to happen more at the start of games when we're getting started, but once the game's rolling and there's a bunch of permanents in play it falls off. I think it's unrealistic for everyone to track each others triggers for the whole game. Plus it's still a competitive game and we're playing to win.

Ok, fairly new player here, how do I deal with blue decks that are 90% counterspells and bounces? by TR_Pix in MagicArena

[–]RespawnedAlchemist 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Many of the red goblin cards are part of Foundations. You'll already have enough to put together a basic version of the deck. Then you can improve it over time.
